The Storyline

Chapter 29

Roman was starting to worry. It was Sunday morning and Lena hadn't responded to any of his texts or calls. The last he heard from her was yesterday in the morning when she said she would check up on his house for him. He was ready to call her again when he heard banging on his hotel room door.

"COME ON ROMAN. WE DONT HAVE ALL DAY. I WOULD LIKE TO HIT THE GYM BEFORE 11!" Seth yelled from outside his door.

Roman quickly grabbed his gym bag and opened his door.

"Do you have to be so annoying? Like chill dude its 8 in the morning and I'm pretty sure you just woke up this entire floor." He said in annoyed voice while fixing his hair into a man bun.

"Hey don't get all snippy with me cause the big dog didn't get his beauty sleep. Last time I checked you were up late texting a lady friend." He said with a smirk. "Are you ever going to tell me who the lucky lady is? Or should I say unlucky lady since she has to put up with your crabby ass when you don't get enough sleep?"

"First of all I'm not crabby because of lack of sleep. I'm crabby because someone wants to bang on my damn door and yell at me to hurry my ass up when it's only 8 in the morning. Secondly, I can't tell you who she is because she wants to keep it low key for a while and frankly so do I. She's the first person I've been with since the divorce and I just want to see where it goes." Roman said to Seth while exiting the hotel unaware that Dana was listening to their conversation. Dana was well known for gossiping everyones drama. So she was super excited to find out that Roman was not only divorced but he also was seeing someone. She was going to have a fun time telling everyone.

Roman checked his phone one more time to see if Lena had responded but still no response. He was going to call her after the gym and hopefully she would answer.

*JUMP TO HOSPITAL*

Paige had been with Lena all night and she still hadn't woken up. The doctor said it was normal due to Lenas weakened state. Paige had decided to get some coffee from the hospital cafe and hopefully find some decent food for breakfast. When she came back to Lena's room she saw a few nurses and doctors go in and out of her room. Instantly she thought something bad had happened and ran towards the room. When she got to the room she was surprised to see Lena slightly sitting up and smiling.

"It's about damn time you got here. I've been waiting forever." Lena joked while giving a half smile.

"Leave it to you to have emergency surgery and wake up smiling and giving jokes." Paige chuckled while gently giving lena a hug.

"So I heard that Hunter was here also. Was he upset with me?" Lena asked while looking down.

"Yeah he was here but why would he be upset with you? He was worried sick about you and was nearly in tears."

"It's just that I wasn't supposed to be in the ring at all yesterday. I knew about my broken ribs before hand and I still went in the ring because I thought I smart enough to avoid hurting myself more. I'm such an idiot for even thinking that."

"Yeah you are an idiot, but you getting in the ring when you shouldn't have is nothing new. That is just how you are and that's why your my best friend." The words came from across the room making Lena's face go up. There stood Madison with Joe and she nearly was in tears.

"Oh my god. What are you guys doing here? How did you even find out?" Lena asked with happiness in her voice, glad that her best friend was there.

"Paige had called me yesterday and talked Joe while i was in the shower and he told me everything. I booked a flight immediately here. Lena I'm so sorry about everything. Joe explained to me all about the whole John situation and I feel like such a crappy friend. I'm sooo sorry." Madison apologized with tears coming down her face.

Lena motioned for Madison to come to her and gave her a hug or at least somewhat of a hug. She told her it was alright and that she forgave her. Joe came more into the room and gave Lena a hug and a kiss on the forehead. He left with Paige to go find breakfast for them and left Madison and Lena to catch up.

"So wait let me get this straight. You and Roman got into a fight. Made up the next day. Seth is no longer your sex buddy just your friend and you were suppose to meet Roman's kids this week?" Madison asked still confused

"Yep." Lena answered. "Well I technically already met his kids but he wanted me to actually meet them this time in a formal setting. Not in his bedroom where both of us were naked."

"Have you spoken to him at all?" Madison asked.

"Oh my god no. The last time I spoke to him was yesterday morning. He's probably blowing up my phone worried. Shit my phones at home, do you think you and joe could swing by my house and get my phone for me. You could also drop off your stuff there if you want. Well at least just your stuff cause I know Joe is going to Tampa tomorrow for Raw."

"Yeah we can definitely swing by your house. We'll go get it as soon as he comes back."

"I just want to tell him before the news gets posted on Twitter. I don't want him worrying to much."

"Well I think it's a little to late for that." Joe said as he walked back into the room. He showed Lena his phone and it had a tweet from wwe saying SUPERSTAR LENA HAS SUFFERED INJURIES TO HER RIBS FOLLOWING HER BRUTAL ASSULT FROM BARON LAST RAW. SHE HAD EMERGENCY SURGERY PERFORMED LAST NIGHT AND IS EXPECTED TO BE OUT FOR 6-8 WEEKS.

"Shit" was all that Lena could say to herself. She knew the news would eventually have to be posted but she hoped she could tell Roman before. He was probably worried and stressed right now and she couldn't even talk to him to calm him down.

*JUMP TO HOTEL*

Roman and Seth had just gotten back to the hotel from the gym and they met up with some of the other superstars in the breakfast area. They grabbed their breakfast and made their way to the table filled with Sash, Finn, Bayley and Kevin. They all began diving into conversation when suddenly Sami ran up to the table out of breath trying to muster out words.

"Sami calm down and just spit out your damn sentence already." Kevin said to the frantic Canadian.

"Look.... at... this..." sami showed the group the recent article posted about Lena and her injury. Roman was first to grab the phone and read over the article. After reading it he quickly got up from the table and left the group heading to his room to call Lena. Sasha looked at the article and quickly made her way after Roman.

"Why the hell is everyone leaving?" Sami asked confused still catching his breath from his sprint to the table.

"I need to make a quick phone call." Seth said while getting up to leave also.

Everyone was worried about Lena and tried contacting her but never got an answer.

"Hey. Roman. ROMAN STOP FOR A SECOND!" Sasha shouted while trying to catch up to the big dog.

"What?!?" He yelled back. "Sorry Sasha, I just have an important issue I need to deal with."

"Yeah I know. I'm not dumb, Lena isn't answering any of the others calls. Which means she doesn't have her phone on her. Which means call Madison to check up on her. If I know anything about those two, it's that Madison is probably with Lena at the hospital right now."

"Thanks but that's not the issue I needed to deal with. Me and Lena aren't even that close. We are just coworkers working together on a storyline." Roman said playing dumb unaware that Sasha already knew about his and Lena's official relationship. Sure he had called Sasha to help him after he yelled at Lena but he made sure to say that him and Lena were just friends.

"Roman like I said before I'm not dumb. I know about you and Lena. So stop playing dumb with me and go and call Madison. Tell me how Lena is after your conversation. She's my friend also." Sasha said leaving Roman dumbfounded.

Roman made his way up to his room and sat down on his bed. He dialed Madisons number and waited for an answer. He sat anxiously waiting and finally heard a "Hello" come from a person.
