Chapter 31

It was 8 pm and Lena was still asleep. She had slept basically all day, her body had finally caught up on sleep. Paige had stopped by like she said she would but Madison told her to go home after seeing how exhausted she was. Madison was on her phone relaxing in the chair next to Lena's bedside when she was scared by a sudden scream.
"Please don't Corbin!" Lena screamed as she shot up from the bed.

"Hey. Hey. You're okay, you just had a nightmare." Madison said while grabbing her hand to calm her down.

Lena calmed down and began holding her abdomen . Her sudden movement caused her freshly stitched abdomen more pain. "Shit." Lena mumbled. She moved around trying to get herself into a comfortable position.

"How long have I been asleep?" She asked Madison while rubbing her eyes.

"For almost about 6 hours. Paige stopped by but you were sleeping and she looked exhausted so I told her to go home and get some rest and Joe left about an hour ago for Miami." Madison answered her filling her in. "So you wanna tell me why you screamed please don't do it Corbin?"

"I just...I don't know. Its like I was having this nice dream with me and Roman hand in hand at Raw and then all of sudden Corbin comes out of nowhere and starts attacking Roman."

"Well all it was, was a nightmare. You have nothing to worry about. Plus I'm pretty sure Roman can easily fight off Corbin." She said reassuring her friend.

Lena looked over at Madison more carefully. She looked exhausted and had bags under her eyes. She wondered when the last time she actually got a decent night of rest.

"Madison go back to my apartment and sleep please. You look exhausted and that isn't good for the baby. I'm okay to be left alone for the night, it's not like I'm gonna spontaneously die or anything." She pleaded with Madison.

"Fine. I'm only agreeing because I'm too exhausted to fight back, but I swear to god if you spontaneously die I will personally bring you back to life just to kill you myself." Madison said while packing her purse up and getting ready to leave.

"I'll keep that in mind." Lena said with a chuckle. "Now goodnight and I'll see you tomorrow morning when I get released from the hospital." The two said goodnight and Madison left. By the time Madison left it was 9 pm. Lena ate some food and watched some tv for a while but eventually she decided just to go back to sleep. She was just ready for it to be morning already so she could be released to go home.

*THE NEXT MORNING*

Lena woke up to large hands holding her hand in theirs and a head resting on her leg. She rubbed her eyes with her one free hand and her vision began to focus on the person who was in the room asleep on her leg.

"Ro?" She asked with a gentle voice not believing that he was actually there.

"Hey. Look who's finally awake." He said while lifting his head up and yawning.

"What are you doing here? When did you get here?" Lena asked confused and still in shock that he was actually in her room.

"Well we got to Miami shortly last night after our event in Tampa. So after we got to the hotel I dropped my stuff off and borrowed Sasha's rental and drove up here. I got here around 3ish and they surprisingly let me come in and just sleep in the chair next to you. Madison called me last night and said you were getting released today, so I thought i would help you get home and get you situated before leaving for RAW."

"Ro, thats like a three hour drive to Miami. You shouldn't have come up here especially so early. You need sleep, I'm not worth you not getting sleep." She said feeling guilty he did so much traveling just to see her.

He grabbed her hand and was using his thumb to rub circles on her palm. "You are worth it okay babygirl. Don't ever think you aren't. I don't care that I barely got sleep. I care about seeing your gorgeous face and making sure you're alright." He brought her hands up to him and left kisses on each of them.

"You're just one big puppy, you know that?" She said smiling. He flashed his goofy grin and laid his head back down on her legs and had his face facing Lena. She began running her fingers through his hair, gently relaxing him. He closed his eyes and hummed in appreciation. Lena just looked at the man in front of her with awe. She wondered how she got so lucky to have such a sweet gentleman like Roman to want to be with her. She had apparently zoned out looking at him because all of sudden a hand waved in-front of her face.

"You zoned out babygirl. What's was going on in that pretty head of yours?" He asked with curiosity.

"I was just wondering how I got so lucky to be with someone like you." She replied with a blush on her face.

Every time she would blush it would turn Roman on so much. The way that she was so innocent but sexy at the same time drove him crazy. He got up from his chair and got close to her lips and gently laid his lips on top of hers and gave her deep but soft kiss. He pulled away and rested his forehead on hers. "I should be asking myself how did I get so lucky to have a woman like you in my life." He said while looking into her eyes lovingly.

"Well that scene was lovey dovey enough to make me want to barf." The words coming from across the room from a certain goth Britain. Paige walked in with her coffee and sat on the opposite side of Lena.

"Sooo. How long as this whole notebook shit been going on?" She asked so casually while drinking her coffee.

The two just looked at her with so much confusion. "Well is someone going to answer me or not?" She asked once more.

"Well miss grumpy, we just started this whole notebook shit if you must know." Lena said with sass back. Roman just chuckled at the two girls who were giving each other sass.

"Thank you. That's all I needed to know." Paige said. She turned her gaze towards Roman and gave him a death stare. "Now you mister. If i ever here anything negative come from her mouth because it had to do with you, me and you are going to have some problems. I'll personally make sure your life is a living hell." She said with a smile.

"Hey. Hey" Roman said putting his hands up in the air. "I promise I won't do anything to hurt her."

"Good, cause I like you and personally you scare me. So me kicking your ass would be difficult for me."

The three laughed at Paige and began talking about life and work. They were waiting for the doctor to come in to clear Lena to leave. Roman began talking to Lena about his kids and how he was excited for her to meet them. Paige just sat back and watched how the twos faces lit up when they were talking to each other. She hadn't seen Lena this happy in forever so she was happy that she finally found happiness. She knew Roman was going to be good for her and couldn't wait to see what fate had in store for the two.
