Chapter Thirteen.
The ceremony went by quickly, we started late because we had to have the Beta and Third in Command there to see me become Luna and accept it. Gage was polite but Lilith shot me glares every chance she could. Ruckus and Iris on the other hand, were very warm and accepting of it all. When I was done being accepted in, each one of my rogues got accepted into the pack. The feeling of the pack was familiar and I had missed being able to talk to everyone via mind link. It filled me with energy, I felt like I belonged no matter what anyone thought.
When the ceremony was done we went around talking to people. Everyone was very welcoming, well except for Kira. People hugged me and asked me about my life and told me they were happy to finally have a Luna. It brought a smile to my face, and I noticed it brought a smile to Ben’s as well. Music began to play and people began to dance all around us, Ben grabbed my hand and we ball roomed danced. It was quite romantic.
“May I cut in?” Gage asked just as Ben had finished spinning me.
“No you may not” Ben responded and then spun me again, I rolled my eyes at Ben and pulled my hand from his.
“If you promise not to call me a leech again” I said harshly, Gage nodded looking apologetic. I gave him my hand and we danced off, I could tell Ben was pissed and was trying to break down my mental barriers.
“Look I’m sorry. Lilith was out of control and I was wrong and way out of line” he said after a while, I nodded my head and sighed at him.
“You were the first person to accept me here. I don’t want to lose you as a friend but as you can tell I do not appreciate being called a leech and it was self-defense” I responded, he nodded and then gave me a small smile.
“I want us to be friends, we’ll be working with each other a lot and I honestly like you. Can we put this behind us? I just don’t want hard feelings” he spun me again before stopping in front of Ben.
“Yeah, we can I like it when we are friends, hopefully me and Lilith can be friends too”
“Thanks for saving her, even though she won’t appreciate it I will. I would have never met her if it weren’t for you” he said sincerely, I nodded and pulled him into a hug.
“It was the little good I did when I was evil” I whispered and then pulled back. I let Ben pull me to his side and watched Gage walk off in the other direction.
“You’re forgiving him?” he asked me. I nodded my head and pulled away heading outside for some air. I had a major headache coming on. I sat down on the grass and looked up at the moon. I was mesmerized by how gorgeous it was outside, if only there was a body of water to see the moons reflection. There was a crack in the woods in front of me and then a large silver wolf jumped out of the forest and launched itself at me. I moved and got into a fighting stance. I knew this wolf.
The bones began to distort until there in front of me stood a man. He had deep brown hair, light caramel skin, and hazel eyes that were different from mine. We looked exactly like each other except for the eyes. I wanted to hug him with all of my might but I knew he wouldn’t hesitate to kill me.
“Ben!” I screamed in my head.
“Well, little sis. Looks like you’re all grown up, being a Luna and all” he said, looking laid back and casual. I wanted to tell him to go away and to not ruin this for me, but I would appear weak so I stayed quiet.
