Chapter Nineteen.

            “What’s wrong Amith?” Jacob asked me as we went further into the woods. I sighed, looking anywhere but him.

            “Ben was being a dick” I stated simply, Jacob nodded and stopped. I turned around and he shifted. Picking up his clothes I tied them around each leg. “I mean I love him, but sometimes I feel like he doesn’t get it’s hard for me too” I said. I realized as soon as that came out of my mouth that was a lie. “Okay, wait no. Ben accused me of killing someone in my last feed and it made me mad. Scratch that last thing I said” Jacob looked at me and whined.

            “Why didn’t you talk to him about it? You just ran instead” Jacob said, he was right but I needed to feed. Well that was my excuse at least.

            “Don’t I always run and then come back?” I asked Jacob, Jacob snorted but nodded. “You ready for that hunt?” I asked him, nodding his wolf head he took off running. I laughed at him and then ran after him, we just ran for a while getting lost in the territory.

            We stopped after a while and found this clearing, there were deer all around. I set my sights on a fat one, smiling I let my fangs extend and waited for it to move. Jacob found his prey and burst into the clearing, I was off after my prey after it took his first step. It was a good chase but I tackled it and sucked until there was nothing left. I felt myself getting stronger and I smiled as I stood up. Jacob came up beside me with blood on his muzzle.

            “One more kill and then we go home?” I asked him. Nodding his wolf head we took off into the forest. We stopped at a clearing were he caught sight of a rabbit; he took off before I could say anything to him. I continued to hunt until I came across a big deer. I smiled; it would be delicious when I caught it. I walked towards it and was about to pounce when Chuck came up behind me. I screamed out in surprise and the deer went running in the other direction.

            “What the fuck Chuck! You know to not sneak up on me, I was about to make my kill!” I shouted at him. Looking apologetic he offered me a baby wipe. Usually I brought some but I had been so pissed at Ben that I forgot, so I took one and wiped all the blood off my face.

            “I needed to talk to you, I owe you an apology” Chuck said, I gave him a curious look.

            “Apologize about what?” I asked him, Chuck took a seat on a rock and patted the rock next to him, I reluctantly sat down.

            “I should have been happy for you when you met Ben. I know that you have been wanting to find your mate and when you did I should have been your friend and I’m sorry. Can we please be friends again? I accept that you are happy, I want you to be happy” Chuck said, I looked at him and he looked sincere.

            “Yeah, let’s be friends. I missed being your friend” I said and then pushed him off the rock. “That is payback for ruining my chances at that deer” I said with a laugh. Chuck got up and soon he was chasing me through the woods. Jacob stopped us and growled at Chuck.

            “What are you two doing?” he asked me accusingly, I rolled my eyes at him making him growl.

            “We are friends again, relax wolf boy” I told Jacob, he growled at me and I laughed. Getting on my knees I untied his clothing from his ankles and then turned so he could change.

            “Clothes please?” Jacob called out; I stuck out the clothes blindly and felt someone take them from me. “You can look now” Jacob said, turning I saw a very messy Jacob.
