Chapter Twenty Two.

I was in bed and I had a major headache, my hand went to my stomach unintentionally. I was hoping the baby was okay, I know Ben wasn't in charge when he threw me so I wasn't angry. I looked around our room and saw Ben sleeping on a chair in the corner, I sighed loudly. I hadn't cheated and I could feel that he thought I did.

"Ben" I said, I got out of bed and tried to steady myself. I was only wearing one of his shirts. I closed my eyes and focused on walking. "Ben" I said louder and then shook him lightly, he woke up and his eyes focused on me. They weren't happy.

"Good, you're awake" he said detached.

"I didn't cheat, he kissed me. I didn't kiss him back, I was shocked and panicked so it toke me longer to push him away" I said, I was determined for him to believe me. It was the truth after all.

Ben nodded and got up, heading out of the room he didn't look back. I sighed and felt myself close to tears, but held them back. I got dressed and left the house; I took the long way to the hospital and found the doctor.

"Doc, I think I might be pregnant" I said to him, he gave me a huge smile.

"That's great news Luna; do you want to check on the baby? I can send you to the maternity department" he said, I nodded and he took me down to the maternity clinic. A woman had me sit on a bed and lift up my shirt.

"You seem far enough along for me to listen to the heartbeat, but you need a few more weeks before we can tell the sex of the baby" the lady said, she hooked up some wires and turned on a machine. I didn't hear it at first and then there was the beating, my child's heart was beating very fast. I smiled so wide and my hand instantly went to my stomach. "It sounds like a healthy heart beat, is this your first child Luna?"

"Yes, it'll be our first" I responded, she smiled and told me that it would be easy. She told me what I should avoid and that the pregnancy would be over before I knew it and I would have a child to hold. I thanked her and she gave me a few pamphlets and then I was heading out of the clinic. I wanted to go home and be happy with Ben but instead I decided I wanted to get off pack land. Walking I left pack territory and headed towards town, I went to the closest shops and I went straight to the baby stores. I saw a crib that I wanted; it was dark wood and looked elegant. I ran my hands on the crib and smiled, I wanted it really bad but I knew it was too soon to buy one.

I stopped by other stores and found myself in a dress store. I had kept my mind link off all day and now a ton of people were trying to break through. I let Gage into my head and asked him what was wrong.

"Christian has been sighted around town" Gage responded, my breathe quickened and I exited the dress store. If he found out I was pregnant he would kill me, or harm the baby somehow.

"I'll be fine; I can take care of myself" I said to Gage so he wouldn't worry, I sat down on a mall bench and thought of what I was going to do.

"Tell me where you are, the Alpha wants you home" Gage said calmly, I rolled my eyes. I was not crippled, I could handle myself.

"I'm taking a break from everything Gage, I'll be back in a few hours" I responded and closed out my mind link. I wasn't afraid of Christian; at least I didn't think I was afraid.

I sighed and got up; I went to the food court and bought myself some greasy Chinese food. Everyone continued to try and get in my head but I ignored them, I decided to do some real shopping and went from store to store. I finally finished and was heading out the store when a man stopped me.

"I was told to give you this" the man said, he smelled human. The man was holding a letter so I took it from and thanked him; I opened the letter and began to read it.
