6:40 AM
If I could get rid of any noise, it'd have to be any and all alarm sounds. Maybe not fire alarms because we need those, but the morning alarms. Yes, I understand that they are there to help us wake up and start our day, but sometimes I just wish that I could stab it.
Right now is one of those "sometimes". It had barely gone off a second ago and I was already trying to find the off button. Okay, that's a lie. Since it's on my phone all I have to do is look at it and press a button. But the light of my phone was blinding my eyes and my finger couldn't quite hit the off button. I just wanted to sleep a little more.
I finally get it to stop when my mom walks in.
"Buenos días mí bella. Time to get up."
I groan. "No school please."
"Oh, c'mon. Get up, you don't want to be late for your first day of senior year do you?"
I'm about to reply but she doesn't give me a chance to by turning on the lights.
"Mama!" I groan.
"Get ready. Don't make Xavier be late." She says, walking out.
I check my phone real quick and scroll through the notifications before rolling my attractive self out of bed and falling onto the ground. I force myself up and go to the bathroom to get ready.
"Ready for your first day as a sophomore?" I ask Xavier on the way to school.
He shrugs. "It's just a filler year. It's nothing special."
"Well, if you need anything, just let me know." I offer as I park.
"Yeah, sure." He responds, getting out of the car and walking towards the building.
I sigh.
"Heyyy!" A voice that belongs to my best friend Emery fills my ears as I turn around.
"Hey, Em! How was your summer?" I give her a quick hug.
"It was great. I met some really cute guys when I was on vacation. But alas, they will never compare to the fictional ones." She frowns.
"Amen sister. You ready to walk in?"
"Let's do the damn thing!" She beams, holding her arm out for me to take.
I roll my eyes and take it. On the way inside, I notice a few people whispering about Isaac Coleman. I knew little things about him and had briefly exchanged greetings with him. I hardly cared to pay attention to him.
However, since it was the first day of school, I was curious. Of course since I didn't have the slightest clue on what exactly they were talking about, I asked my number one source; Emery.
