Chapter 5 Wind Mage Rescue

The next day Katsandra and Cain could tell something was wrong with Aviana but she brushed it off by saying "I just had a bad dream about Acnologia, talking about him stirred up my worst memories and caused a nightmare. Let's not worry about it now he has to be dead after my 400 year time jump. Come on let's go get our next job." They quickly found a job that would work for them 'Remove thieves' Guild from Aramoor Forest- 20000 Jewel reward' despite Katsandra's concerns that there wouldn't be a water source both mages reassured her that they would be careful and wouldn't run out of magic power. It took a few minutes but they finally convinced Katsandra that they could handle it. With that, they set out to the town.

When they got to Aramoor they checked to see who had placed the request and went to their place of residence to get further details. The request had been placed by the leader of the city guard, he explained that the thieves were also had a mage and no matter what he and his men tried they couldn't catch them and many of his men had been injured trying. He explained how the leader was using a young wind mage, tricking him into doing his dirty work in exchange for something or at least that is what eye-witness reports had said. After thanking him for the added knowledge the trio set out to the forest to find this thieves' guild. They had just entered the forest when a group of 12-15 thieves rushed them from the bushes. The two groups regarded each other then one of them, who Aviana assumed was the leader, stepped forward and growled, "Who are you and why have you entered our forest."

Cain didn't back down he stepped up and glared right back at the thief as he said, "We are mages from the wizard's guild Fairy Tail."

The thief had the nerve to laugh even though his comrades looked nervous, "Interesting! So you have come to put an end to our guild have you? Ha! I wish you luck because we have a wizard of our own. Dante get them!"

A young boy with pale skin and dark blue eyes and hair dropped from a tree beside the man and looked at him, "Do I have to? I don't want to hurt anyone else."

"Do it or you know what will happen!" The leader barked. They saw a flash of fear in the boy's eyes then he turned and raised his hand palm pointed at them and a magic circle appeared a twister shot toward them.

Aviana reacted instinctively, "Water Dragons Roar!" She yelled and her whirlpool collided with his twister and an explosion sent everyone skidding backward. "I don't want to fight you but if you attack us, I will fight back in self-defense!" She shouted

The other thieves looked anxious, but the leader laughed again, "Doesn't matter, he will do as I tell him so yell all you want you can't stop him. Dante, get them and don't stop until all three are down."

"Cain, Katsandra, leave this fight to me. Just make sure those other guys don't interfere." Aviana said she had noticed the boys expression. He was scared and was trying to tell her something, but couldn't do so verbally in front of the thieves. She guessed that fighting him was the only way he would be about to speak to her without anyone else noticing. She planted her feet and waited. Then the boy charged her wind swirling around both his hands. She charged to meet him water wrapped around both hands.

When they collided, the boy pressed moving his head closer to their locked attacks than was safe but she realized if he had something to say that was the safest way to do it so she did the same trying to keep her face like she wanted to win this collision of powers. When they were so close their noses were almost touching he whispered out of the corner of his mouth, "He has my family trapped in the abandoned mine and if I don't help him he said he will kill them." Shock made Aviana lose focus and with a small explosion she was thrown into Cain and both of them went down.

"Ha ha ha! I don't know what you said to her to make her do that but nice job Dante, now get us out of here we have things to do before tonight's theft." With one last pleading look at Aviana, who gave the smallest of nods, Dante raised both hands above his head. He and all the thieves rose into the air and flew off.
