Chapter 20 Oración Seis

For the next week they stuck around the guild to allow Katsandra time to train and Aviana time to think. Aviana had filled in Katsandra about her and Cain's conversation on the way home and Katsandra had agreed with Aviana that they needed a break from work. By the end of the week though things were on the move again at the Fairy Tail guildhall. Aviana, Cain, and Katsandra had just returned from a training session, during which Katsandra had summoned the holographic Bast and not passed out.

When they entered the guildhall they saw that Reedus had drawn a huge chart off to one side and most of the guild was discussing it. "What exactly is this?" Lucy was asking. 'Good question.' Aviana thought.

Mira turned to her as Aviana, Cain, and Katsandra came over, "We created a organizational chart of all the dark guilds." she explained.

"Why?" Lucy asked. Her brow was furrowed and her eyes were darting around the chart. Aviana remembered how scared she had been the last time someone had brought up dark guilds.

"Well," Mira explained, "They have seemed awfully active recently. So I think we need to work on strengthening inter-guild relations."

"What's that big circle for?" asked Elfman.

Juvia looked over, "Oh! Juvia knows, that's the most powerful amongst all the dark guilds. It's called the Balam Alliance. The Balam Alliance is a massive force made up of three individual dark guilds. Each of these have a number of smaller guilds under its control, and thus the three of them keep the underworld in check."

Then Lucy gasped and pointed to one of them, "It's Eisenwald."

Erza nodded, "That's the guild Erigor belonged to."

Gray followed the line that lead from Eisenwald to its boss in the Balam Alliance, "So they were under the control of these 'Oración Seis'..."

"So was the guild the Thunder Legion took out before the Harvest Festival, I think it was called Ghoul Spirit" Elfman said, pointing to another crossed out guild.

Juvia smiled, "When Gajeel and Juvia were in Phantom Lord we took out several guilds that were under the Oración Seis as well."

Gray glanced at her, "You shouldn't smile while saying stuff like that."

Lucy shuddered, "I hope they aren't going to come after us for revenge."

Off to one side, a member Aviana didn't know snorted, "I wouldn't worry about that."

His friend nodded, "Yeah, I heard there's only six of them."

Mira's face hardened and she glared in the pair's direction, "That 'tiny guild of six' is supporting a third of the underworld."

"About that..." said a voice. Everyone turned to see the master standing at the entrance, "We're going to take them down." the master finished.

Everyone's jaws dropped, except Mira, "Oh! Hello Master welcome back!"

"What kind of reaction is that!?" Lucy squeaked in terror.

Erza stepped forward, "So Master, what exactly is this about?"

"At the regular meeting a few days ago the Oración Seis came up on the agenda. Seems they're up to something. It was decided that this development can't be ignored, and so a guild must be sent to eliminate them."

"So you drew the losing card and got picked, huh?" Gray asked.

"Fairy Tail's taking up that responsibility!?" Juvia gasped.

"No," Makarov explained, "If that were true and we succeeded we would become the sole targets of the Balam Alliances wrath." Everyone glanced at the chart again. Aviana shuddered to think what would happen if all those guilds were to go after Fairy Tail. "As such..." Makarov continued, "We are going to form our own alliance."
