The Water Dragon Slayer Soars

Chapter 6 S-Class Mage Erza

On the train ride home, Cain and Katsandra went to check on Aviana, who was throwing up again, when they passed a compartment with four familiar faces and one new one. "Hello, Gray," Katsandra said stopping. 4 faces turned to look at her and Cain, Natsu was unconscious in the lap of the person she didn't know so he just lay there. "Oh, hey Karsandra, Cain. Where's Aviana?" Gray asked, then his eyes widened and he glanced at Natsu, "Oh, right, motion sickness. Anyway, you guys on your way home from a job?"

Cain stepped forward, "Yeah, we just took out an entire thieves guild and saved a young wind mage, who they had blackmailed into helping them. He said he wants to join Fairy Tail now."

The member they didn't know looked at them and said, "You must be the new members I heard about, Cain and Katsandra, and judging from what Gray said your third friend, Aviana, the water dragon slayer, is in the bathroom with motion sickness."

Cain suddenly felt nervous, "Uh...Yeah. That's us. Uh... might I ask who you are? I don't recognize you from my time at the guild so far."

The girl, whose hair was blazing red and was wearing armor nodded, "My apologies, I'm Erza."

Katsandra gasped, "You mean THE Erza, one of only 4 S-class wizards of Fairy Tail?!"

Erza nodded and sighed, "Yes that is how I am most commonly known."

"I wish Aviana was well enough to meet you," Cain said.

"Well enough to meet who?" Said a queasy voice from just down the car from them. Aviana had managed to get herself out of the bathroom though she still looked dizzy and queasy. Then she saw Erza, "Oh... That's who."

Erza sized her up, "So your Aviana the water dragon slayer, huh?"

"Y-yeah. I am... s-sorry about my appearance but I have been s-sick the entire ride." Aviana stuttered.

Erza laughed, "No I understand, I have known Natsu a long time and he has the same problem."

Cain cut in, "As much as I like to see people getting along I am wondering why you guys are here. I heard you prefer to work alone, Erza. Plus, Gray and Natsu are always at each other's throats."

Erza's face became guarded, "It's nothing you newbies need to concern yourselves with."

Katsandra scowled, "Then why is she here. She's even newer than us." She said pointing at Lucy.

Lucy flinched then said, "Maybe they can help us, Erza, Aviana is a water dragon slayer and Cain is a very powerful water mage, from what I have heard."

Erza looked at them again, "Fine, but I am not explaining our job again so just follow along and follow orders. Got it?"

All three nodded and that movement was enough to upset Aviana's stomach and again so she ran for the bathroom once more. Cain and Katsandra managed to squeeze in with Erza, Gray, Lucy, Happy, and Natsu. Happy and Katsandra perched on the luggage rack above everyone's heads to make room. From where they were it was a short ride and when they got there everyone got off. Except for Natsu, who was still unconscious, and Aviana, who had left the bathroom right as the train departed and ended up in the compartment next to the one Natsu was in.

While they were traveling, she dimly heard someone sit down across from Natsu and start dissing him and Fairy Tail. She was so sick though she couldn't make out what was said. Suddenly the train lurched and stopped. As soon as it did Natsu lept to his feet and started a fight with the man who had insulted Fairy Tail. Aviana was on her feet to, but Natsu needed no help. Then the conductor announced that the stop had been do to an emergency false alarm and that they would be departing in a moment. She and Natsu both panicked. Aviana grabbed her bag and ran to the exit, which was conveniently right next to the compartments her and Natsu had been in. She dove out the door and rolled to the side of the road. Natsu was still being distracted by the man who had dissed their guild, but when the train lurched forward Natsu smashed a window and lept through it. Aviana winced because from her landing spot she was safe from being run over by Erza, who was driving a magic mobile, but Natsu had jumped right in front of it. In midair, Natsu collided with Gray, who had been riding on the roof of the vehicle, and the two of them fell off. They, as usual, immediately began to fight about it. After breaking up the fight, Erza asked Natsu what happened. When he was done explaining she punched him because the man was someone important to the mission. Then Erza rounded on her, "Why didn't you stop that man! You wanted to be part of this mission why didn't you help!"

Cain got mad, "Hey! She was sick in the bathroom and even if she hadn't been you didn't tell me or Katsandra anything either, how was she supposed to know?!?!"

Natsu and Gray froze. Erza look like she was about to punch Cain to but she took a deep breath and then sighed, "You're right. I acted rudely. But we need to follow them, now."

At that Aviana noticed Lucy was shaking and sweating a lot, "Lucy? What's wrong?"

Lucy had been muttering to herself now she looked up at them and she looked scared, "That flute Natsu said the guy had... That is Lullaby! I thought it was just a story but anyone who hears the song of that flute falls asleep and never wakes up!"

Erza ran for their magic mobile, "Then we have to hurry come on!"

"Uh if she's willing could I just follow you from above with Katsandra?" Aviana asked not wanting to get sick again.

Katsandra understood but knew she couldn't fly that long, "I'm sorry Aviana but we don't know where they're going and I don't want to run out of magic."

Aviana groaned, "Well I hope we have a barf bag or something then."

Erza who was already back in the magic mobile yelled at them, "Hurry up! We have to stop them from using that flute before it's too late!"

Everyone, even Aviana and Natsu though they were reluctant, ran for the car. Gray hoisted himself on top and everyone else climbed inside the back. Aviana and Natsu sat next to the windows in case they needed to throw up. Which Aviana did almost immediately because Erza was a crazy driver.

Aviana: Ugh... I wanna barf just thinking about it...

Cain: Don't

Katsandra: I'd rather not have to clean up Pika's carpet

Pikagirl: I agree, go to the bathroom if you're gonna throw up.

Aviana: Ok She runs off and Katsandra flies after her
