Cain sat watching the Miss Fairy Tail contest. He turned to Aviana's Exceed friend Katsandra who was sitting next to him, "Aviana's was really good. Who do you think will win?"

"I'm not too sure," Katsandra replied. She was focused on the stage wear Lucy was about to take her turn. Before she had even started, however, she was interrupted by another girl.

The girl wore a green dress with fairy wings attached to the back. She also wore glasses and carried a feather fan. Her cinnamon brown hair was tied up in a bun. She smirked as she walked forward until she was right next to Lucy, "It doesn't matter if you're talking about beauty or fairies. I am number one for BOTH."

"Hey! What are you doing?" Lucy demanded, "If you're taking part go wait backstage like everyone else."

The girls gaze turned towards her, "What did you say, little girl?" she said and started to take off her glasses.

"LUCY DON'T LOOK!!!" Gray shouted, but it was too late. Lucy had suddenly been turned to stone. Civilians screamed and ran but the mages of Fairy Tail got to their feet, ready for a fight. 'What the HECK!' Cain thought in alarm.

"Just what do you think you are doing Evergreen?" the master demanded.

"Every festival needs a main show, master," Evergreen replied, sarcasm dripping as she addressed the master. Then she snapped shut her fan and swept in behind her at the curtain hiding the others while they waited. It ignited and as it burned away in revealed the others girls. Every one of them a stone statue.

"MIRA!" Elfman shouted.

"She even got Erza!" Happy cried.

'No! Aviana!' Cain thought, staring at her, 'I have to help her. I can't let another person I care about get hurt or killed.' His hands curled into fists but before he could rush Evergreen a blast of lightning hit center stage.

"Oi, Fairy Tail idiots." said Laxus, "The REAL festival begins now." Evergreen moved to stand next to him and two others already stood behind him. One had long, green hair and was wearing a red, body-length coat with silver colored boots. He had a rapier at his side. The other wore a shorter waist length black coat with skulls on the shoulders and black pants. He also wore a black metal helmet that covered his eyes. Around him zipped five wooden things. They looked like tiny barrels with white wings. Each one was painted with a different expression.

"It's the Thunder Legion!" Gray exclaimed.

"Fried, Bixlow, Evergreen do you have any idea what my grandson has roped you into!" the master shouted. The three ignored him.

"Yo, old geezer, let's play a little game." taunted Laxus.

"Don't be foolish Laxus we must prepare for Fantasia! Turn them back!" the master ordered.

"The parade's late at night if we hurry we'll still be able to have it." Laxus retorted. Then a blast of lightning struck the ground right next to Lucy. "I'm taking the girls as hostages to make sure you guys don't try to cheat your way through my little game," he added.

"Now isn't the time to mess around Laxus! Change them back!" the master shouted, he looked ready to explode.

"I'm not joking, old man. The girls get destroyed one by one if you break the rules." Laxus said.

"It's quite simple really." said the one with green hair.

The masked man laughed, "We just want to find out who's the strongest mage in Fairy Tail."

"The rules are simple the last survivor wins," said Laxus.

"Oh and if you can't find and defeat all four of us," Evergreen added gesturing to Laxus and the Thunder Legion, "The girls will crumble into sand."
