The Water Dragon Slayer Soars

Chapter 7 Eisenwald

When they finally caught up with the train the dark guild they were after, which Lucy had informed them was called Eisenwald, had taken over the train and the station it was stopped at, Kunubi. Erza ran ahead and started to question the guards who were keeping people out. At first, they wouldn't tell her anything but after she knocked out three of them with a single punch each they told her what she wanted to know and she lead them all inside. They found the soldiers who had gone in to stop Eisenwald all unconscious but alive. When they got to the train's platform they found the guild waiting. The leader, Eligor, laughed when Erza demanded that they return the Lullaby flute and surrender, "Why? We are only cleaning up. To many people live ignorant to those of us who have lost our rights. Thus we, the Shinigami, have come to punish them. And we will use this stations broadcast system to do it!" Then he noticed Cain, "Ha ha! What's this now, so the son has learned magic to take revenge?"

Everyone looked at Cain, "Cain... What is he talking about?" Aviana asked.

"I... He... He killed my parents. Just before I discovered my powers. He took an assassination job where the victims were my parents." He said, his eyes flashed anger, but he turned towards Eligor and said calmly, "But I didn't learn magic for revenge I learned magic to prevent others from suffering the same fate I did. I knew you were still out there and yes I want you to face the consequences for your actions but I don't care if it's me or anyone else who catches you as long as you're caught someday."

Aviana stared in shock, 'No wonder he understood my past and said such defensive things. He understands even better than I thought because he's lost his parents to.' She tried to catch his eye but he seemed focused on the enemies in front of them.

The dark guild was tired of waiting. One of them, the one from the train, Kageyama, attacked with a type of shadow magic. It shot along the floor between Gray and Erza and went for Lucy, who cried out in alarm when it shot off the floor towards her. Natsu, who had been barely conscious from motion sickness, lept up and destroyed the spell with fire. Everyone prepared for battle. Everyone except Eligor that is, he crashed through the window and disappeared. "Natsu! Gray! Go after him! Now!" Erza shouted, "The rest of you be ready!"

After a brief argument about how they couldn't work together, Erza's expression was enough to scare off Natsu and Gray. Aviana focused and summoned a weapon made of water to her hand. It looked like a trident. She twirled it in her hands and looked ready to stab someone in the gut. Cain did similar only he just summoned a sword, which looked really scary with the black colored water. Erza used her requip magic and summoned a sword of her own. Lucy hung back and looked very scared. The dark guild obviously didn't think they were anything special because their own swords mages summoned their weapons and charged without a moment's hesitation. Aviana, Cain and Erza charged to meet them. Aviana leapt into a flip over a group and when she landed she spun swinging her weapon and knocked 5 off their feet. The trident left some nasty cuts on their ankles and she knew they wouldn't be getting up. Cain nailed one in the head with the butt of his sword and the mage crumpled like a paper bag. Then he swung his sword in a wide arc knocking out two more with the flat of his blade. But neither of them could compare to Erza. She was ducking, dodging, weaving, and slicing her way through. She would switch weapons so fast no one could tell which one she was using until she knocked them out cold.

Finally she seemed to get sick of playing with them and said, "It's too much trouble, I'll just wipe you all out. REQUIP!" Her armour glowed and the glow engulfed her body. When the glow faded her armour had changed. She was now wearing a set of silver armour that at the waist changed to a flowing white dress with silver metal boots.. On her back were four white wings. Behind her a circle of swords hovered in the air. The hilts looked like sets of wings like the ones on her back. The blades were double-edged, pointed out. "Circle Sword!" She shouted, the blades shot out and spun in a wide circle around her taking out most of the remaining guild members, and almost taking out Aviana, who ducked. Only two were still standing. One charged Erza and she knocked him out cold. The other ran off and Erza shouted at Lucy to follow him. Lucy took off with Happy in pursuit of the man.
