Chapter 13 The Tower of Heaven

When to they got there they were stunned yet again at how beautiful the hotel was. As soon as they checked in to their rooms everyone grabbed their swimsuits and ran for the beach. Aviana and Cain showed off their water techniques to Erza while Natsu, Gray, Happy and Lucy played volleyball. "Those are some impressive moves you two," Erza told them.

"Thanks, Erza but on land, our powers aren't that strong that's why we've never used these spells before," Aviana said. She was doubled over hands on her knees. Then they all heard yelling. Natsu and Lucy had switched to a pinata game and Natsu had tricked Lucy into hitting someone in the head. Aviana ran and put herself between the other guest and Lucy, "Please, sir, it was an accident. She didn't mean to do it." she implored the man. After one last murderous look at Lucy, he walked away.

The rest of the day continued without incident. They laughed and played in the surf. Aviana creamed Gray at 1v1 volleyball. Although he claimed it didn't count since her last point and put both himself and the ball in the sand. Cain tried to teach Natsu to surf, but he kept falling into the water. Erza helped Lucy build a large enough sand castle for Happy and Katsandra to play in. As the sun set, they finally called it quits. Gray suggested they check out the indoor theme park downstairs. "Wait, there's a theme park?" Aviana asked.

Gray nodded, "Yeah I heard some of the other guests talking about it."

"That sounds fun." said Natsu, "Let's go!" then he and Gray raced off. Happy was right on their heels.

Lucy sighed, "Well I'll go grab Erza. We'll probably want her help to keep those two in line." She headed back towards their rooms.

"I'll go with you, Lucy" Katsandra said, the swooped after her.

Cain turned to Aviana, "Should we got downstairs?" he asked.

"Sure, why not." Aviana replied, "But keep your eyes open and don't draw attention to yourself. I sensed a large ship dock just off the coast. A smaller vessel, like a rowboat, left it and came to the shore. That doesn't bode well with me."

Cain nodded, "I sensed it too. Your ability to sense things in the water has come a long way from when I first tried to teach it to you."

"Y-yeah, w-well, despite everything going on I have tried to find time to practice." Aviana stammered, her cheeks had turned slightly red at the praise.

Cain smirked, "I know. I have been trying to find time to train as well. Now, are you going to keep talking or are we going to go have some fun?"

"Go have some fun, of course," Aviana said, then she ran down the hall towards the indoor theme park. Cain followed hot on her heels.

When they got there the rest of their friends had beaten them. Natsu was arguing with an employee over whether he had won a game or not. He clearly hadn't, but he was claiming the game had been rigged and that he had won; Happy was with him. Gray was talking to someone at a bar counter, Aviana realized it was Juvia, the water user of the former Phantom Lord's Element Four. Erza and Lucy were playing a game of chance. You had to pick a golf ball at random from a bin and if you picked one with a stripe on it you won a prize and got another free play. Erza was on a winning streak while Lucy and Katsandra were watching in awe. "What do you want to do first?" Aviana asked Cain.

Cain didn't respond his eyes had locked on a group of people who had just entered through the doors opposite end of the park, "Not good." he whispered.

As the watched the group split up. Two; a boy with a suit like the employees and a tattoo below his mouth, and a girl who appeared to be cosplaying as a cat, made a beeline for Erza and Lucy. The largest of the group made his way towards to counter Gray and Juvia were talking at. The last one who looked like he was made of blocks while wearing a black suit as well headed in Natsu's direction. "We have to warn them." Aviana hissed to Cain.
