Chapter 13: Sleepover

"So, you can take my room and I'll just sleep on the couch," Killian told her.

"No, I don't want to take your room. I mean, it is your room," Emma protested.

"No, really it's fine," Killian told her. "The couch is a pullout couch so it's comfortable."

"Well, if it's comfortable then I'm sure I'll be fine in it," Emma refused again. They were both too stubborn to let the other have the bedroom.

After a few minutes, Emma shook her head."You know what, do you have sleeping bags?" Emma asked.

"Yeah," Killian told her. "Why?" He asked.

"Why don't we just sleep on the floor. Then it's fair," she said. "Like a sleepover kind of."

"What? Is that what you do?" He asked. "You sleep on the floor?"

"Yeah, with sleeping bags," Emma nodded. "Have you never had a sleepover before?" She asked.

"No, guys don't really do that. We just hang out after school. Not that I'd know, I guess," Killian told her.

"That is insane. You're missing out," she said. "So, let's do that then. Let's have a sleepover," she smiled. "We can stay up all night and watch a ton of  movies."

"Okay... If that's what you do," Killian said, getting out two sleeping bags from the closet.

"Okay, so rule number one-" Emma started to say, but she was cut off by Killian.

"Woah, woah, woah, woah, woah. Wait a minute, there are rules?" He asked, surprised.

"Yeah. I mean you don't generally like state them at your first sleepover but they're like unspoken rules. I'm telling you because you probably don't know them," Emma said.

"Is it a long list?" He asked. "If it is because I think I can figure out proper etiquette."

"No, it's only like five rules. Anyways, rule number one is whatever happens or whoever we talk about, you can't tell anyone."

After a few more rules Emma was done. "Okay, what movie do you want to watch?" She smiled.

Emma had put together a list of movies for them to watch. "Okay, so I've got some for me and some for you and then some we might both like," she said, giving him a list.

1. Mean Girls
2. The Rite
3. Safe Haven
4. Irreplaceable You

"Okay, sounds good. Will we have time to watch all of these?" He laughed slightly.

"Yeah, of course. That's the point of staying up all night. It's only like 6:30 right now," Emma said. "Okay, I'll get the popcorn, you get your room set up for some high quality movie watching."

"Um, okay," Killian said, starting to go upstairs.

"No, wait! Switch. Getting popcorn is way easier than setting up the room," Emma said, going upstairs.

"Okay, Swan. I made three bags of popcorn to start," Killian said, coming to his room with a huge bowl of popcorn. He looked around his room. "Wow."

Emma had taken multiple blankets and pillows to make a huge fort. "Ta-da," She smiled.

"How'd you manage to get fairy lights? I don't even own any..." He said.

"I have my ways," Emma smiled again. "Come here, I don't want to get behind schedule."

They had gotten through the first movie. They talked between the and when they got new snacks.

"So, you should definitely let me give you a makeover. We can go shopping for clothes and everything. The girls will love it," Emma smiled.

'I only care about you.' Killian thought.
