Emma woke up and saw Killian was still sleeping. She smiled to herself and kissed his cheek.

"What?" He mumbled, still half asleep.

"We have to get up. We have school today," Emma said.

"I don't want to go," Killian pouted. "I want to stay here with you."

"I don't want to go either, but we have to," Emma smiled slightly.

"I can't go to school today. I'm sick. Cough cough," Killian said.

"Come on, get up," Emma laughed, sitting up, but he pulled her back down.

"No, don't leave," Killian said. "We can just take a sick day. No one has to know."

"We have to go to school Killian," Emma said.

"Fine," Killian rolled his eyes, sitting up.
-❀-
Emma walked to school with Killian. "What's up?" Killian asked.

"What do you mean? Nothing," Emma said.

"You seem vexed, love. You've been really quiet this whole time," Killian said.

"I'm fine. I'm just thinking," Emma said.

"About?" Killian asked.

"I'm just thinking," Emma repeated.

"Come on, you can tell me," Killian said. "What's on your mind?"

"What if someone else comes along? Someone better," Emma said. "What if you decide you like her better than me because she's normal."

"You're normal," Killian said.

"No, I'm not. I missed two years of high school. Two years where everyone else made friends and had breakups and other normal teenage things," Emma said. She sighed. "I just had a bad dream about that. Where you like someone better than me."

"Hey, there's no one I like better than you. I think you're the most perfect person on the planet," Killian said.

"Okay," Emma mumbled.

"I promise, you're always going to be my favorite person," Killian smiled.

Emma smiled lightly. "Okay," she nodded.

Killian smiled and held her hand. "So, anything else on your mind, Swan?"

"Who did you take to junior prom?" Emma asked. "I'm obviously not mad or jealous or anything, I'm just curious. And a little jealous."

Killian laughed. "You don't have to be jealous. I actually- I actually didn't go. There wasn't anyone I wanted to ask," Killian said.

"Oh," Emma said. "You should have gone though, I mean it could've been fun."

"I didn't want to go. I'm not a huge party person anyways," Killian said. "You were the only person I'd want to go with."

"You shouldn't have missed out on it because of me," Emma told him.

"It's okay, really," Killian said. "I wouldn't have had fun anyways."

"Okay..." Emma said.

"Anyways," Killian smiled. "Do you want to come over to my house after school? We can get pizza or something."

"Oh... Um actually I can't. I have... Family dinner. Thursday nights are now family dinner," Emma said. She felt guilty about lying to him but she didn't want to tell him.

"Okay..." Killian said. "Maybe next time."

"Yeah," Emma nodded.
-❀-
Emma sighed and flopped onto the couch. She really didn't want to be here.

"Well we got back together," Emma said.

"Well that's good. How is that going?" Archie asked.

Archie was Emma's therapist. Every Thursday night at 6 p.m she had to go check in with him.

"Good. It happened last night," Emma said.

"Did anything else happen this week?" Archie asked.

"Not really. I mean I don't think so," Emma shrugged.

"Does he know?" Archie asked.

"About what? Therapy?" Emma asked. Archie nodded. "Of course not. I just got back together with him, I don't need to scare him off."

"What about when you two were together? Why didn't you tell him back then?"

"Because I don't want anyone to know. I want to pretend I'm normal for a change. Normal people don't go to therapy every week," Emma said.

"It's okay that you're doing this, you know. It's good to talk about things," Archie said.

"But I wish I didn't have to," Emma said. "I want to have a normal life again."

"You can't just erase the past two years, Emma."

Emma sighed and got up. "I'm going to leave now."

"It's only been forty five minutes," Archie said.

"I'm going to leave now," Emma said again. "I'll see you next week."

Emma shut the door forcefully. She was upset she even had to attend therapy sessions. She wanted a normal life. She wanted to delete the last two years. She wanted her abducter caught.
-❀-
Killian knocked on Emma's door. Mary Margaret answered.

"Oh, hey Killian. What are you doing here?" She asked.

"Is Emma around?" He asked.

"No, she isn't..." Mary Margaret said. "I'll tell her you stopped by."

"No need," Killian said, walking away.

'So, she was lying about where she was. She is hiding something,' Killian thought.

He knew she was one of three places. Down by the docks, because that's where she goes to think when something is bothering her, or she was cheating on him. Which is why she would be talking about someone better coming along, but he pushed that out of his head. Or, there was a secret third option he was just unaware of.

He went down to the docks and saw Emma sitting by the edge. He sat down next to her.

"Hey Swan," Killian said. "So, what's really going on?"

"Killian, I'm sorry I didn't tell you the truth," Emma said, facing him.

"Well what is the truth then?" He asked.

Emma sighed. "I go to therapy, okay? Every Thursday I go to therapy to talk about my life since I was found and what I feel, or whatever."

"Why didn't you just tell me?" Killian asked.

"Because I was embarrassed. I have to go to therapy because I'm all broken and damaged or whatever. I can't just pretend nothing happened. I can't pretend my life is perfect or normal like everyone else. It's not normal. It's the opposite of normal, actually. Normal would be if I went to school for sophomore and junior year. Normal would be if I didn't go to therapy."

"Well maybe I don't want normal," Killian said. "Maybe I just want you. Even if you are damaged. I'll help fix you."

"Are you sure?" Emma asked, looking at the water.

"Of course I'm sure, Swan," he said.

She looked at him and smiled slightly. "Okay," she said. "I'm sorry I lied to you about family dinner and I didn't tell you."

"It's alright, I get it. We're allowed to have secrets. I trust you," he said.

Emma smiled. "You're the best," she said, leaning into him.

"You are too," Killian smiled, kissing her head. He took a deep breath and looked at her, smiling slightly.

"I love you."
