"Emma, we have something to tell you," Mary Margaret said at the dinner table.
"Okay," Emma said. Mary Margaret and David glanced at each other, and silence followed. "Alright, you guys are acting weird. What's going on?"
"I'm pregnant," Mary Margaret announced, smiling.
"Oh..." Emma said. "Oh! Good! That's great! Good for you," she said, putting on a fake smile.
"Yeah. We're very excited," David smiled.
"Oh, of course. That's great. I'll just, uh, give you some alone time then. To, you know, celebrate. I'll be back soon."

Emma knocked on Killian's door for what felt like a year before Liam answered."Can I help you, Emma?" Liam asked.
"I'm sorry, is Killian here?" Emma asked.
"Um, yeah. He's upstairs," Liam told her. "You can just come on in."
Emma went upstairs to Killian's room. She could hear him strumming his guitar and singing to himself.
"Hey," she said, leaning against the frame of the door.
Killian jumped a little and looked at her. "Oh, hey Swan. What are you doing here? It's a Tuesday."
"I know," she said, sitting next to him on the bed. Killian noticed she wasn't as happy as she usually was to see him and she seemed distressed.
"What's wrong, love?" He asked, setting down his guitar.
"Mary Margaret is pregnant," Emma told him.
"That's great," he smiled. "Right?"
"Yeah, I guess. It's just that before anytime they had another kid they sent me back," Emma said. "I know they wouldn't, and I know it sounds ridiculous but I just can't help it."
"It's not ridiculous," Killian said. "But you have to remember, Mary Margaret and David love you. They would never replace you or get rid of you."
Emma nodded. "You're right..."
"And guess what else? After this, you're going to be a sister," Killian smiled.
"I've never had a sibling before," Emma said. "In all the homes I've been in they didn't have any other children."
"You're going to be a sister, for real this time."
"I'm going to be a sister!" Emma smiled.
"You guys are all going to be a family," he said.
"Family," she repeated and nodded.
"Feel better?" Killian smiled.
"Definitely. You're the best," Emma said. "I don't know how you do it."

"What's wrong, love?" Killian asked Emma the next day at lunch. He noticed that she had been unusually quiet the whole day. She didn't talk during math and she wasn't talkative at the table either. She didn't respond when he asked. "Swan?" He asked again."What?" Emma asked, shaking her head and looking at him.
"You seem distracted," Killian told her. "What's bothering you?"
"Nothing's bothering me," Emma shrugged. "I guess I'm just not talkative today."
"Emma, I know when you're lying," Killian said.
"I'll just tell you about it later," Emma told him.
"Alright..." Killian said, concerned.
Emma kissed his cheek and gave a fake smile. "I'm fine."

On their walk home Emma was still quiet. Generally, she would tell Killian about her day and then ask him about his, but today she hadn't said a word. She wasn't even looking up while she walked.
