Chapter 20 I'm sorry

A green moon shined brightly at the sky. It's bright moved slowly at the boys face while he ran down the street.

His eyes moved from one building to another and his breath was heavy from the running. He stopped and looked around, before his eyes changed color. They looked at the building in front of them and started to run towards it.

He could hear his friends yelling at him from behind him, but that wasn't new, cause he had literally jumped down the stairs and run out the front door.

He now stood face to face with a black door, it had a weird mark on it, a star inside a circle. It was black like the door, but if you looked close enough, could you see a little green light on it.

Pain put his hand against the door, and slowly pulled it open. He heard the others behind him, but decided to ignore them, instead, took he one step forward, followed by another one. He looked around, it was hard to see, but he could see light from a door and walked towards it.

He slowly opened the door, it was hard to budge, but he managed to opened it, and was forced to blink a couple of times before he could see anything.

The room was in a black color, and it had nothing in it. Green shadows moved slowly around in the room and they looked almost alive. They stayed close to something on the other side of the room, but they moved slowly towards Pain, and he could feel Yami shiver beside him. But he didn't know why, he wasn't afraid, and he wasn't cold. Pain looked at the figure in front of them, and the figure looked back at him.

It took a step forward and in to the green light. He looked exactly like he did when Yami first saw him. A small smirk was placed on his lips, and nether Pain, or Yami liked it.

" Where is he? " Pain asked with a cold voice and looked the demon straight in the eyes.

--I don't have him!-- The demon answered still with the smirk on his lips. Pain looked at him, he didn't have to say anything, all was in his eyes, he didn't trust him. --I don't hurt old people, my friend. They to weak!-- The demon said, the green light in his eyes grew brighter and then back to normal.

" You just wanted us to come, isn't that right? " Pain asked, more said, and the demon looked at Pain with cold eyes, before he nodded, he crossed his arms and his smirk vanished.

--But it's only you I want, through, your friends can be helpful!-- The demon answered and Pain took a step forward.

" Touch them, and your dead. " He said with a low, but still cold voice.

Yami looked at Pain and then at the demon, he couldn't figure out why they hated each other, sure, the demon wanted to kill him, but there must be more than that, he hasn't tried anything to hurt anybody, not that he know about, and he didn't hurt Yugis grandpa, he only took him, to make us come, and then he let him go. He missed something, something important, and he had a feeling that maybe, maybe his parents had the answer, more his family. They said he was a demon, and they wanted to leave him to another family. They must know something, but what? He couldn't come up with anything.

--You know you can't kill me, how much you try, I'm stronger than you!-- Yami looked back at Pain when he heard a low growl coming from him. --You couldn't do it for so many years ago, and you can't do it now!-- Now he was totally lost, years ago? Did they fight when they were just kids? But that couldn't be right. They liv, or Pain live, inside of Yami, but how? How is that even possible, if he's a ghost maybe, but it still doesn't explain anything!

Yami looked at the door, just in time to see it close. The green light surrounded the door and stayed, probably so nothing could open it, or more like someone.

Yami looked back at Pain and the demon. They were not far from each other, but it was only the demon who had moved. Yami looked down at the floor, and saw why, his, Pains, legs were stuck. The green light was around them and hold him back, it slowly moved higher up his legs. ' That green light, what is it?' Yami asked and Pain looked down and then back at the demon. /I'm not sure myself, all I know is that he is the one controlling it./ Pain answered, and it wasn't hard to know who he meant.

Yami looked around, he tried to find something, anything that could help, if it's true that Pain and that demon had meet before, and that Pain can't beat him, then they have a problem. Yami knew one thing he could do, but he didn't know if he could do it.

--Let's make this a little more interesting shall we!-- The green light grew brighter and then went everything black.

After a few minutes, could Pain open his eyes and he looked around, but couldn't see anything. Until he heard Yami yell at him to duck, and he ducked just in time to see a knife at the same place his head was at, only a second ago.

The darkness that surrounded them vanished and they stood in another room. The room looked like the other, but was darker, and bigger, it was nothing in it, expect four people. The green light was around their legs, so they couldn't move.

In front of them stood the demon, he looked at Pain.

--Let's see how much of a friend you really are!-- Yami looked at the four people in front of them. Joey, Tristan, Tea and Yugi. They were all stuck to the floor, with knives over their heads. The knives moved slowly and he could see the rope who hold them up, it was that green light, the knives was also made of the green light. Which means, that the demon was the only who had made them, if he could vanish, then the knives would vanish too.

Yami looked around and he saw something shimmer not far away from them.

He looked closer and saw it wasn't green like all the other things, this was a real thing. His eyes moved to Pain and then back at the thing. 'Look.' Yami pointed at the thing and Pain followed his hand with his eyes. /No, don't!/ Yami looked back at Pain and then at his friends.

Pains eyes changed color and Yami looked at the demon.

" I'm sorry Yugi. "

This chapter was a pain in the ass, it was so hard to write. But at least, I think I get it pretty good, and I hope you all think the same.

Next chapter will be the last, it feels pretty weird, cause it feels so normal to go in to wattpad and write on this book, but everything has it's end, but just cause this book is over next chapter, doesn't mean I'm done with this story.
