The sun was about to go down, and the darkness was about to fall over Domino City.

A black car drove up on a driveway and a boy walked out from it and looked at the small house in front of him. His violet eyes scanned the building before he looked up at the moon. He had three colored hair, with red on the tip, blond bangs and the rest in black. His name, Yami. The name fit him perfectly, darkness.

He heard the car door open behind him and titled his head a little and looked at the woman and the man who stepped out of the car. His stepparents. He never called them his parents, they could never replace them how much they tried. Nothing would ever be able to replace the hole he had in his heart after their death. He loved them, and they were the only people that had ever seen him as a human, and not as a... Yami shook his head and looked back up at the moon, he loved watching it. It remembered him so much of them. They had loved the moon, for reasons he didn't understand then, but do now. The moon had something mysterious about it, it was dark, but at the same time light and it was always there.
The woman sighed when she saw the way Yami had looked at them. He had always looked at them like that, no, he had always looked at everyone like that. She had never seen him smile, she had never seen his eyes shine of anything, happiness, love nothing, only hatred. He was always wearing a mask, never showing them, or anyone, how he really felt. She always tried to come up with something to make him happy, but it never seemed to work. But she was determined to not give up. She wasn't that kind of woman.

"So this is our new home, it's nice isn't it?" She asked and looked at Yami. He know she was talking to him, but only shrugged as an answer and walked away in to the house.
The man and the woman sighed and looked at each other, wondering if they would ever be able to break through their son's cold heart. They didn't know what had happened to him, no one seemed to know. The only thing they did know was that his parents were dead, killed, together with hundreds of other people and he had been the only one to survive, how? No one beside him knew why.

The next day was grey and wet. The sky was filled with grey clouds and raindrops fall down from the sky. Yami was sitting in his room, looking at the rain. Before he stood up and walked out from his room. He walked down the stairs and took his jacket before he went out, locked the door behind him and started to walk towards his new school.
He never liked school, and he definitely didn't like the school uniform. He only had it, because he knew his parents would have wanted him to. That was the only thing that still made him continue, he wanted to make his parents proud.
It wasn't that long from his home to school, and he had just walked in to the building when the school bell rang. Signaling that school was starting.

"Yug' wait up!" A short boy with three colored hair turned around and looked at his friend running towards him. Joey, one of his best friends, with blond hair and chocolate colored eyes.
"Hey Joey, i've never seen you running to school before, even if your going to be late"

The teacher walked in to the classroom and said that she would start class soon, and she wanted everyone to sit at their seats. She then walked out and the boy sighed. He looked around the classroom, beside him sat a boy with almost the same hairstyle as he has. They looked almost like twins, but you could see the difference between them if you looked at there eyes, the boys eyes were more soft and childish like, while the new boy next to the wind had more wild, and serious eyes.

The boy talked to a guy with blond hair and one with brown. He heard them say Joey to the blond and Tristan to the brown, but he couldn't hear more, cause the teacher walked in and the two boys walked to their seats.

The teacher presented the boy for the class, she told them his name was Yami, and that she wanted them to be nice to him.

Yami wanted to ignore the class, he wanted to ignore the teacher, and just be left alone, but he couldn't, he knew that his parents wanted him a good life, and to get that, he needed to listen, even if it was boring.
