"you got to do better than that" Seth was yelling at the top of his voice. Alex was being put on training for the battle ahead. Seth is still recovering from his grave injuries. However master Ronan has given Alex all the insights to master his powers, his talent. First he need to build his strength. Water is never easy to deal with infact it never can be controlled unless there is a special ability to control the energy that flows in the mass. For that he need to have alot of endurance and patience. Alex was asked to start with a simple warm up exercise of stretching, next he had to do fifty push-ups. He was through to the bone but it wasn't over. He had to repeat the tasks each day and the count of the push-ups were increased by twenty every day. The girls were supportive for the boys to get the training done. They too got their hands on some fighting skills. Of course Alma was good at it since it was something she has already practiced. Lin however did not have a good time on the first few days. Her whole body was aching and she hardly could get up in the mornings. She somehow managed to do her favorite hobby at the end of the day. It is to observe the sea. Every evening she sits on the edge of the cliff and stare into the magnificent view of the ocean, the sun disappearing into the horizon and the birds returning home from a long day. The beautiful blanket of stars appear no sooner and the sea breeze slows its pace, along with the waves.
"wait where are you off to?" Seth questioned as soon as Lin got up from her seat near the fire. It was after a long day of training and everyone sat down for a nice dinner of soup and some roasted meat. As soon as the dinner finish Lin wanted to go to the cliff. All her muscles ached and walking was out of question but she somehow wanted to do it. Alma was resting her head on Alex's shoulder and he had his arm wrapped around her shoulder. Alex now wished he had not agreed to save the world from this mess. He never knew it was this hard.
"haven't you seen where I usually go at this time Seth?" Lin replied with a small smile.
Seth got up he was just having a robe on his torso with a pair of jeans. Lin was wearing a tank top with a jacket and a pair of jeans. He came close to her.

"You need enough sleep Lin. Each day you stay up till mid night and wakes up early for the training sessions" He said in a rather stern voice.

"How do you know?"

"You think I sleep knowing you are still out here?"

"Just a small time Seth"

"No you must go to sleep now"

"What if I don't ?"

"Would you not listen to me?" his voice became low.

Lin knew it was a sound of disappointment.

She never had a lover before but she never imagined that they would be so protective. She has seen her friends relationships are nothing like this.

She looked at the ocean. This is that one place she loved and it gave her a mental boost each day. She tore her gaze from it and marched towards her cave without another word. Seth felt sorry for her. He didn't mean to make her angry but she needed her rest. Slowly he found himself making his way towards her . His injuries are curing but he cannot walk and run as he used to do. He tried to move faster but stings of pain rushed through his body making him hold on to a near by tree. His breath's turned heavy but clutching on to his wound , he began walking towards her. She had almost reached her cave.

"Wait Lin" he called between his breaths. Lin did not want to turn back, she was angry and sad at the same time, but she felt something was off in his tone. She stopped in her tracks, two arms caught from her shoulders and turned her to face him. Seth was breathing hard. He looked into her eyes drinking them in.

"Quiet a stubborn little girl aren't you?"

"I'm off to bed."

"Hey I know you are disappointed and maybe you don't like being told what to do. But Lin have I ever intervened in your decisions?"
That's true Seth always went with her decision. He never questioned her.
She shook her head.
