It had been five days since the encounter with Nicholas, Caleb was still unconscious. Rachel was growing more and more tensed. She did not leave his side, Master Ronan did his best give the most effective medication but still no progress, Rachel began to loose hope day by day. Rachel was sitting outside the cave lost in her thoughts she could see ones again the moon began to emerge from the night sky, . She saw her friends having a fine time with their partners but for her, he was barely alive. After all she didn't even know whether he felt the same for her but she knew she had definitely fallen for him. There is no better man she could think of , Nick cheated on her even when she thought he was the world to her. She knew Caleb from the very young age. Although he was like a killing machine he never wasted his life on women. In their island any girl would dream of being the wife of the  heirloom of the golden dragon tribe. It was obvious because Caleb had what a girl would want. She hated him before for what he is and what he forced her to be , but after she realized who he really is, her thoughts began to change. The only person he has shown interest is her, but she did not realize it until she got fatally injured.  He saved her life and took care of her like she was the only thing precious to him. If it wasn't for him she would have been dead by now.

She sighed loudly and went to stay beside Caleb ones again for the fifth night, hoping that he would wake up at least today. She fell asleep faster that day with Caleb's hand in hers as usual.  In the middle of the night, she felt a small tug on her hand . She woke up with a jolt still  half asleep with heavy eyes. It took a little time to gather her thoughts and remember the tug on her hand, she looked at the hands. his hand was still in hers. She moved closer to Caleb and observed him closely. It took a while for her to adopt to the dim light.

"Caleb ?" she whispered to him. She again felt a sudden stroke on her hand, she could see Caleb  gently stroking her hand. Waves of emotions came crashing on to her , she was overwhelmed when she saw Caleb's eyes open slowly. She nearly jumped yelling his name. He looked at her almost in disbelief .He was greeted by a pair of glittering eyes filled with tears and a radiant smile he always wanted to see. He felt that he was seeing her after many years. He wanted to embrace her tight to show her her how much he missed her. But it was physically not possible right now.

He tried to lift his body to sit but searing pain hit him, he fell back with a groan . Rachel briskly moved to help him rest his upper body to the  stand. He held his leg straight on the bed and his couldn't bend or move his upper torso thanks to the cracked ribs.

She sat on his bed closer to him when he brought his hand up to her hair and gently stroked it. He almost forgot that he has not expressed himself to her but right now it was difficult to keep his emotions in check.

"Rachel".. His voice filled her ears. She was already crying smiling at him.He gently wiped the tears falling from her eyes. She was speechless . She wanted to express how much relieved she is to see him awake. but how? She thought. She saw a tear escaped his eyes.

"Come here" he moved her more closer to him.

"let me look at you , are you injured ? how are you?"

He was out for nearly five days ! and all he cares about is her.

"I'm alive thanks to you Caleb" Hesitantly she placed her hand in his hair.

He smiled at her. She found herself gently stroking his hair and moving her hand to his face.

"You scared me to death. I thought you were gone."

He smiled and leaned on to her hand.

"How can I leave you ?" their eyes met the very moment. She held her rising urge to press on to his lips immediately. "Did he say he could not leave her? that's impossible." she thought. He must be just caught in the moment . Rachel could not believe that he felt the same for her like she does.
