A Descendant of Water

Chapter 29 - The beginning

On  the land of the water tribe Alex was at the beach starring at the sea. He looked anxious and worried. He was dressed with a pair of trousers and a shirt so he is not in for a swim. He slowly moved closer to the sea. His friends were back at the caves after what happened to Lin the other day all are with her trying to get her back to her normal self.Alex had no choice but to get on with his training on his own. This time he wanted to try something new, he was always testing his abilities on water in small streams that flows through the mountain to the sea. he never got to try anything with the sea . With Seth behind his tail he never gets to do anything on his own. 

"How hard could it be" he thought to himself.

The waves splashed against the rocks close to the  beach with the soft sound of winds coming from the sea to the land. The morning light poured on  the sea glistening the blue water just like a mirror reflecting light. He was at the edge of the water , the sea waves slightly touched his toes. He starred into the water, he tried to feel the water that touched his toes. He felt the energy of the water transferring into him.  It was a strong current, he felt the force on his hands now and he felt like the sixth sense is coming into life now. He could sense water . He felt that he could now control the sea water, just like he did on the streams. He stretched his hands he could feel the rising wave he felt the power embed in the wave. He felt the building power in the wave , he wanted to control the speed of the wave and he moved into the water, now the water level has reached his knees. He closed his eyes and concentrated , he felt the whole energy of water flowing through his body. In his mind he could see the rising wave he need not to see from his eyes. He took a deep breath he turned his body side ways putting his right leg in front and left leg behind ,  and stretched his right hand to the water , the wave stopped, he opened his eyes to see a curved towards him but has stopped in it's tracks. It could crash down any moment on his command but his strength held it up effortlessly then he brought his left hand to the front with a force , the wave subsided to either sides, mixing in with the rest of the sea water. 

Now he felt an enormous strength has drained out from him. He wanted to have a rest  so he made his way to the shore and found Alma watching him.

"That was amazing. I think finally you are starting to like this ." She made her way to him.

He gave her a hug and he kept her in his grasp.

"Well I think ,I like this save-the-world business after all." She smiled at his remark. Her hair flew in the strong winds on the beach her eyes were gleaming with pleasure.

"So what's next?"

"I stopped the wave that was created by the sea. I want to create a wave and see. I can't wait to try it. "

"That's great. When will you try that? " her eyes were dancing with excitement .

"Now" He responded with a squeeze on her hands, He ran back into the water. Alma excited watched him.

Just like before he went up to the knee height of water and this time he parted his legs for a better balance. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes ,concentrated. The energy of the water started to flow into him he could picture the sea in his mind,every part of the sea came into view in his mind. He gathered  his hands and slowly moved them to the side , then he slowly rose his hands in a steady momentum ,the water in front of him started to move back gathering like a slide getting taller by the second,he spread his hands wide just like parting a curtain, the giant wave now spread to rest of the directions. It was now like a great water barrier formed around the island. Alex opened his eyes.He couldn't believe what he was seeing. The enormous wave stood in front of him waiting to fall at his command.If that crashes to the island, it can do a great damage to the villages. Thought of this stirred his mind. He now didn't have confidence in him to control this. He suddenly forgot how he must control this great wave.
