Chapter 15 - Explanations

Lin was just staring at Seth. She couldn't understand him, he is not like any boy she has ever met. He was willing to sacrifice and do the right thing no matter what. She has a lot to learn about him and get to know this stranger. Lin couldn't help staring into his eyes. They were brilliant sky blue she can find the comfort of a clear sky in him.

"Lin "

Lin was dragged out of her dreamy world. She looked away afraid Seth would see her staring at him the whole time. Seth he wore a serious expression in his face. Well this is new, Lin thought to herself.

" Tell me the truth , why are you here? what are you after? I need the truth Lin. I don't favour false statements."

Lin was dumb struck. She was speechless, what can she say ? she cannot betray Alex neither she cannot lie to Seth who helped her. She sighed.

"Seth it's complicated. My friend has a special ability , I'm not quite sure what it is yet. We are still discovering what he is capable of. My friend has an ancestral background from a water tribe . He is the next successor of the tribe. There is another tribe of the golden dragon tribe who has led a cruel rule for sometime. So they were dethroned by the Water tribe and hidden the seal that can establish the power. So..."

"Your friend came here looking for the seal." Seth completed the sentence.

Lin nodded her head.

"Then how did he get injured?"

" I don't know how but I know He didn't come alone. He came with a golden dragon tribe member. Well more likely my friend was forced to come with him. "

Lin said.

Seth was trying to swallow all these pieces of information, it was all very new to him.

"Seth!!!!!!" someone from outside called out for him.

"My father must have returned. Don't worry if any information about your friend I'll let you know. Now let me bind your hands again quickly."

So Lin forced her hand behind her ones again. It was so painful but Seth did not bind it tightly as before. He rushed outside. He witnessed a body was on a carrier held by four men on the four corners and his father was leading the way into the village and towards the healing mountain. He went closer to get a better look. He could see Alex was shot on his shoulder and had injuries to his head. He wasn't sure whether Alex would survive. He has already bled a lot he could say.
Seth followed them to the healing mountain. It was situated behind their village,tall and it had many medicinal plants that are used to cure many diseases and injuries. Only the healers have the permission to be on the mountain anyone outside should go to the mountain with a special permission from the village chief. After about a fifteen minute climb they finally made it to the little cave on the mountain halfway up. Inside was cool,clean and soothing, the ground on the cave is well maintained and evenly leveled. There are small beds on either side of the cave and a little water fountain at the end of the cave. At night they use fire to light up the cave but during day time there are small stones at the entrance of the cave catch the rays of the outside sun and reflects them into the cave. They were like light crystals.
Alex was placed on a bed near to the fountain. The healers gathered around the chief waiting for his orders.
"He is an outsider for our land. However we cannot leave him untreated at this condition. I checked his pulse its getting weaker, you all try your best to heal him and make sure he receives no visitors." with a sharp look at Seth.
The healers bowed and took their leave. Chief began to make his way out of the cave, seth remained at place to see if he could get any detail about his injury.
The healers took off his shirt away and wiped the blood around his wound. Most of the blood has clot around the skin but still the wound bleed.

" Seth I believe you heard your father's orders" It was Alma ,one of the healers who knew Alex quite closely. She is a healer now. She wore a serious expression ever since she became a healer. She had black hair, white skin and wore robe like attire most of the time.

"I heard Alma. But what can you tell me about his condition?" Seth asked.

"What of it for you Seth?"

"I need to know. you know me I wouldn't do anything without a reason" Seth said quite sternly.

"Exactly Seth , it is a reason that bothers me" She removed her hood she was wearing along with the robe. She was beautiful.

"I saw you with the new girl. I believe she is a friend of this injured boy. You are doing this as a favour for her aren't you?" with an intimidating voice, She moved her fingers on his jaw line. Seth caught her hand and shook it away.

"That's none of your business Alma. Remember this , you will never get what's in your heart"

Seth marched away. Alma smiled at his direction and uttered,

"I always accomplish what's in my heart Seth" .

Later that night Seth was summoned to his father.

" Did you treat that girl? She was quite injured?"

Seth looked down. He knew his dad ,this was not good. Seth is not the type who lied and lying would make it worse he knew.

"Yes father"
