I chased down the truck driven by burglars. One kept shooting at me while the other was driving. Eventually he ran out of ammo and decided to use words to break my bones.

"You're nothing but talk! You can't even reach me you bi-" He didn't finish his sentence as I shot directly at the truck and pulled myself forward. I stared at him right in the face. I smiled when suddenly, he took out a knife and grazed my cheek. I fell back tumbling in the road.

"Great. I ruined my suit." I received a suit much similar to Spiderman's. The only difference was the size and needed gender. Short version: It was for women. "Better hurry. Peter is expecting me." I reminded myself and chased after them again.

"We finally lost her?" Burglar one asked.

"Yeah. We're home free." Burglar, who likes calling female superheroes female dogs, assured. I tapped the front glass and the driver hit the breaks. I held on and moved out of the way while they smashed through the window.

"You see? Thats what seat belts are for." I joked and walked to them. Spidey sense warned me of an attacker from behind. I twirled around and kicked him right in the crotch. He bent down in pain as the cops finally arrived and arrested them.

"Miss?" A voice called me. It was Norman Osborn.

"Uh, yes?" I tried changing my voice so he wouldn't recognize me. Wow was I a failure. He looked at me confused but continued anyway.

"Have you noticed that you're bleeding?" He pointed to my leg and I followed. I was indeed bleeding, and enough. The glass from the window must have caught my leg.

"Oh my god, thanks." I covered the wound with webs to stop the bleeding, for now. I said goodbye and left. When I was out of sight, I went to the highest building and catapulted myself to the sky. Once I passed the clouds, I shot another web which (hopefully) stuck to the bottom of the helicarrier.

"Hey web girl," Nova called out. I sighed.

"What?"

"Fury's looking for you." He said and turned to the rest of the team and whispered something else.

Ever since Fury gave me that offer to join the team, I've been non-stop training and working. I agreed but gave one condition. I never reveal my identity and still live on Earth, instead of a magical flying ship. The day I was introduced was the day I learned everyone's real names. I had a good laugh when they found out they couldn't know mine.

I reached Fury's door and opened it to see both Spidey and Fury. He didn't know I knew his secret but I know he suspects.

"Rider." Fury greeted.

"Fury." I said back.

"Spiderman?" Spidey said. I rolled my eyes.

"What's wrong?" I asked. Fury turned on the holographic tv (whats so wrong about a real one?) and the news were on. Norman was standing in front of the press with a small red vial in his hand.

"Thanks to the generous donation of our new vigilante, I have come one step closer to figuring out the big secret. Of course, I will need more, but for now, I will devote my time and company to finding out what makes Spiderman and his sidekick 'special'." The holograph goes mute and silence fills the room. I rock back and forth on my heels.

Spidey breaks the silence. "Mind telling me what happened?"

I glance at my leg. Spidey does a facepalm and Fury starts calling some of his special agent buddies. He leaves us alone, but not without giving me a look of disappointment.

"Peter-" I gasp and cover my mouth with both hands. His head snaps at me.

"What? You knew?" He said hurt but as if expecting it.

"I didn't-"

"How long?" I felt horrible.

"Since I joined the team." Which was true. He was speechless. Finally he grabbed my hand and dragged me out. "Where are we going?"

"To school. We're late." I knew this day would be bad.

~~

I saw Gwen waiting for me at the front doors of the school. Since that day, Gwen and I have been friends. We had so much in common. Well, except for our grades.

"You're late!" She said.

"You didn't have to wait for me." I tell her. She sees Peter and eyes me suspiciously.

We hear the bell ring and race to our classes. I reach PE already sweaty. I quickly change and head out to the field. I stop dead in my tracks as I face my worst fear yet.

"Oh, Carmen." Mr. Tom addresses me in his unbearably short shorts. His furry legs naked in the sweltering sun. Beads of sweats were visibly seen from.....everywhere.

"I-Its Charlotte, Mr. Tom." I stutter, the image being downloaded in my brain.

"Same thing. Now get running!" He yells and blows his whistle.

I catch up to Peter who's panting. I roll my eyes. Sometimes he takes this secret identity thing to far. But then again, he had me fooled.

"Why is Mr. Tom our PE teacher?" He takes a deep breath.

"I don't know." I answer, my breath still normal. Then I wondered. "Hey, you don't seem to be able to shoot webs normally." I stated.

"How so?"

"Well, you have this," I thought about the right word. "Gadget, that shoots for you."

"Yeah, and?"

"Well, how does it work?" We stop running taking a break.

"Well, I press on a button sort of thing," He says breaking it down for me. "I requires lots of pressure, so superhuman strength helps and it makes sure it shoots when I want to." I nodded understanding. He must be super smart to make something like that.

"Hey guys." Ava sprints towards us.

"Hey." Peter takes more breaths.

"Rider!" Mr. Tom calls me and I walk to him. I place my hands on my hips taking deep breaths.

"Yes, Mr. Tom?" He smiled as he handed me the newspaper.

"Page ten." He simply said and left to yell at other students. I frowned and turned to the given page. Once I read over it, my body stood still. My muscles tensed as griped the paper in anger.

"Charlotte?" Ava walked over and I took off running. The newspaper crippled under my grasp as I stared dead straight with only one goal in mind.

Revenge.
