Fourteen

Fury looked me with eyes filled with.....well, fury. Norman Osborn just televised on receiving an anonymous sample of the female spider.

"Mind telling me what happened?" He asked me. He spoke to Spiderman first. He came out pretty shaken up.

"I was foolish, sir. " I said.

"What were you high on?!" He yelled. I flinched. I realized what he meant.

"R-Revenge." I stuttered. He sighed and muttered something under his breath.

"Here's what you're gonna do." I had a bad feeling. "You will not be changing into your costume or help anyone-"

"But-!" He held a hand up.

"You will not associate with any of the other members unless in normal circumstances."

"This is ridiculous. " I scoffed.  "You can't tell me what to do."

"If you dare disobey these orders, I will take action myself." He gave me a look of seriousness and I stormed out.

At dinner, Norman Osborn never came. Harry and I sat and ate in an awkward silence. Until Harry spoke.

"Charlotte," I stopped in mid eating. "I have to tell you something." He peaked my interest.

"Yeah?"

"Don't go to school tomorrow." He said. I gazed at him.

"Why not?" I had such a bad feeling, I felt like puking. Which I did.

"Charlotte!" He ran to me and held me up while I emptied my stomach. He helped me to my room and I laid in my bed. "If you go to school and get hurt, I wouldn't be able to forgive myself. " He was acting so suspicious, it bothered me so much.

"Harry," Norman appeared at the door. "Give me a minute with her. I know just the thing to help her." Harry nodded and walked out. Norman approached my bed and took out a needle.

"What is that?" I said cautious. He shusshed me and inserted the needle.

After the liquid was gone he said, "A test." He left and soon after I fell into a deep sleep.

I gaped as daddy interviewed a celebrity. He asked tough questions and gave no room for false information.

"Phew! So whatcha think smartie?" He russled my hair and gave me his care free smile.

"You were amazing!" I exclaimed in my squeaky 5 year old voice.

"Glad you think so." He picked me up and threw me above his shoulders. "How bout we go to the park?" He asked.

"Yeah!" I pumped my fist up in the air in celebration.

Mom was passing out sandwhiches as me and Dad talked. My best friend, Dania, was helping my mom. Once we all had food, we thanked my mom and munched on the snacks.  That's when my dad's phone rang.

"Hello?" He quickly swallowed his bite and frowned. "No." He got up and walked away and argued with someone. He came back angry and my mom asked what was wrong. He ignored her and told us to pack up.

"Daddy?" I held Dania's hand.

"No time, lets go."

Sorry it was kinda short but early update!  I will be updating every Saturday from now on.

But heads up! I will be leaving for Puerto Rico next wednesday and wont be back til a week after.
