I stood in front of the door of my new home. I blew air out of my cheeks in aggravation.
I've been here for 30 minutes staring at the front door nervously.
I turned away from the door glancing at our surroundings.
"Suck it up Anne," I muttered to myself, "she's your daughter, your the adult here. You ran around with a werewolf once a month, a fifteen year old should be no big deal."
"MOM!" I heard from behind me and I jumped in fright whipping around to look at the now open door.
She stood there, stormy grey eyes staring impatiently as she tapped one foot in waiting.
"Want to explain why you've been staring at our front door for half an hour?" She asked moving a strand of her long black hair out of her face.
"Ugh..." I stuttered before taking a deep breath to calm myself and said, "let's go inside honey, we need to talk."
We walked into the living room that was still covered with unpacked boxes. We sat on the couch and I grabbed her hands.
"Lyra... before you ask I didn't go to the ministry today," I stated calmly.
She furrowed her eyebrows, "then where were you?"
"I was with your dad...." I said nervously waiting for her reaction.
She stared at me for a minute processing the information before her jaw went slack and she stood up angrily.
"You saw my dad and you didn't take me with you?!?!? What kind of mother are you? I've been waiting for this moment my whole life and you decide to go without me?!?!?" She screamed pacing in front of me.
You know I'm really getting tired of being yelled at today.
"Lyra," I said warningly, "I needed to talk to him first before I brought you to meet him."
"What could you possibly have to talk about..." she said and then paused and grimaced, "you weren't ya know... doing the diddly were you?"
I choked on my own spit, "No! No no no no no, we weren't doing... that, like I said we were talking. I told him about you and how you were excited to meet him. I also had to explain to Harry who I was and why I couldn't take him in after his parents died."
She nodded and then her eyes lit up, "Harry is there? Does that mean I get to meet him as well?"
I smiled and nodded making her jump up and down in joy and do a happy dance.
" Alright my jumping bean let's finish unpacking this place, we have a long day ahead of us tomorrow!" I said standing up and ushering her to help unpack the boxes still left untouched.
"What's tomorrow?" She questioned curiously.
"Your meeting your Dad and your cousin of course! Now hurry up and help the more we get done the earlier we can leave tomorrow!" I said which made her high tail it into action.

The next morning was a total personality switch for my normally bright and energetic Lyra.
She was moody, anxious, and abnormally clumsy today.
She groaned after she spilled yet another cup of milk.
I put my tea down and folded my hands, "calm down Lyra, everything will go smoothly."
She slammed her head on the table, "I know! I just can't help it, I'm too nervous."
I stood up and walked over to her side and said, " I realize that honey that is why..."
I put my hands on her shoulders, ".... we are going now."
With that I apparated to number 12 grimmauld place before she could protest.
We landed right in the hallway and I looked over to see my daughter hunched over and breathing hard, "I. Hate. When. You. Do. That."
"You lived with her for 15 years now kid, I'm surprised your not use to it yet," we heard a voice say and turned to see Sirius standing at the end, near the kitchen doorway, which made Lyra stand up straight in surprise.
I grabbed her hand and walked her over to him, "Always the smartass Padfoot."
I hugged him and the proceeded to drag our daughter forward, "and I'm assuming you know who this is."
Sirius looked at her and his eyes soften, "She's the spitting image of you Claws."
"But with your hair and eye color," I responded lightly.
"Hi dad!" Lyra blurted out before smacking a hand over her mouth in surprise and then correcting herself, "I'm sorry! I didn't mean to say that! If that's too awkward I can totally call you Sirius!"
Sirius chuckled, "believe me, Dad is perfectly fine with me."
She smiled really big and launched herself over to him giving him a giant hug.
He hugged her for a minute and then took her hand, "come on you two, there's some people I'd like you to meet."
He led us into the kitchen where we saw Remus, Molly, a brunette girl, a blonde girl, and four red headed children.
"Arthur and Harry are at the ministry so you can meet them later," Sirius explained to her and she nodded.
He continued, "this is Molly Weasley."
"Please to meet you dear!" Molly said walking up and wrapping Lyra in a giant hug.
"This is Remus, he your mother and I's best friend," Sirius said introducing Remus.
"It's wonderful to finally meet you Lyra," Remus said shaking her hand.
"This is Hermione Granger, she's one of Harry's best friends," Sirius said pointing to the Curly brunette who waved politely.
"This is Athena Moore," Sirius said pointing to the lanky blonde, "She is Remus's Daughter."
"The rest are part of Molly and Arthur's Herd," Sirius explained gesturing to each red headed child.
"Ginny, she's the youngest and a year under you at Hogwarts," He said pointing to the red headed girl.
"The Pig is Ron, Harry's other best friend," Sirius said gesturing to the redhead with his mouth stuffed to the brim.
"And last but not least the twins, I'll let them tell you their names cause quite frankly I can't tell them apart," Sirius said finishing up and pointing to two twin redheads.
One started talking while the other sat there staring, "I'm George and the gawking idiot is Fred."
Fred shot George a glare before smiling and waving at Lyra who blushed.
An hour later Harry walked in with Arthur. They both introduced themselves to Lyra and then all the kids gathered around the couch asking Lyra questions about herself.
Sirius and I made our way over to them to tell them lunch was ready when we heard one particular question, "How did Sirius and your mom get together?"
"You mean how did my mom and dad get together?" She corrected before furrowing her eyebrows, "I don't know actually mom never told me."
I smiled at Sirius and both of us walked up to the group, " we can tell you that story if you lot are interested."
They all nodded excitedly and we both sat down.
"Where to begin?" I asked looking over at Sirius who shrugged.
"From the beginning would probably be the best," he offered.
"Right! Well it all started when..."
