I knocked softly on the hard wooden door of the headmaster's office.  I patiently waited until I heard the voice of Albus Dumbledore  all, "Enter."

I walked in and closed the door behind me before standing directly in front of his desk, "You asked to see me professor?"

"How was your summer Miss Potter?" Dumbledore asked folding his hands.

"Good, complicated but good," I answered honestly.

"I suppose having feelings for two of your best friends would be complicated,"  Dumbledore said smiling.

"How did you.."

He interrupted, "A good Headmaster always know what is going on in his school Miss Potter, although I was quite surprised you picked Mr. Lupin.  Minerva and I had a bet going an my money was on Mr. Black."

I stared at him in disbelief, "you were betting on me?"

Dumbledore waved his hand, "that is unimportant, now for the real reason I've asked you here.  At the end of last term I explained what your, special gift was, I want you to meet me here every Wednesday during your free period starting today to expand you horizons with this gift."

"But sir.." I started, "what if I don't want this gift, I don't even fully understand it yet."

"To understand something is to develop it, Miss Potter," He advised, "You can't change who you are, you were given this power for a reason and it would be foolish not to control it."

I thought for a moment, "okay fine, I want to control it."

"Splendid," Dumbledore said clasping his hands, "we will start with how you feel before your powers come into affect."

I think back to the time where I was dancing with Sirius in the common room, "Safe, happy, a little confused."

"Were these feeling strong at the time Miss Potter?"

"The strongest I've ever felt," I answered Honestly.

"Good," he said, "concentrate on how you felt."

I nodded and closed my eyes concentrating I felt Sirius's hands on my waist, the feeling of his broad shoulders underneath mine, his husky voice comforting me.  I felt a warmth in my chest as a twitch of pain hit my temples and then I opened my eyes.

I looked before me to see the same man from that night standing before me.

I looked in awe as the man stared at me curiously.

"Close your mouth girl, I know I'm attractive but no need to gawk," The man ordered.

I stuttered in shock as the spirit made the joke and felt my face turn red as I demanded,"Who are you?"

"Phineas Black, second eldest son of Phineas Nigellus Black former headmaster of Hogwarts,"  He answered.

"You're a Black?  Then why are you watching over me?"  I questioned.

"I was disowned from the Black family for advocating muggle born rights," He answered, "I am watching over you because Sirius cares for you,  I will do anything to make sure he turns out nothing like our abomination of a family."

"Miss Potter, who are you seeing?" Dumbledore questioned curiously.

"Phineas Black," I answered.

"Curious," Dumbledore remarked with a grin twitching on his lips.

"Now let's work on blocking the spirits out," Dumbledore stated, "similar to Occlumency, you will build a wall to block out strong emotions which in result will block out spirits."

I nodded and looked at Phineas who looked me, "Another time Potter."

I closed my eyes and pushed away my feelings.  I felt a wall slowly build as a cold emptiness filled my chest and a silent coldness filled the room.  I opened my eyes to see it was now only Dumbledore and I.

"He's gone," I said quietly.

"Wonderful," Dumbledore said, "I think that is good enough for today dont you?"

"Next Wednesday meet me at the quidditch field and we will work on bringing forth spirits in bodily form," He said bidding me goodbye.

I looked at him wide eyed, "Bodily form?  Like bringing them back to life?"

"Temporarily Miss Potter,  Nature needs balance, you try to bring someone to life for a long period of time, nature will need a life to balance the scale.  Do you understand Miss Potter?"  He asked warningly.

I nodded , "of course sir, good day."

I walked out the office and headed to the Gryffindor Common room.  When I got to the common room I walked over to where Lily, Alice, and the Marauders were sitting and flopped down laying my head on Alice's lap.

"I am exhausted..." I whined.

"You poor baby, free period must be harsh," James said sarcastically.

I shot him a glare, "I had private lessons with Dumbledore you arse."

"Private lessons?" Peter asked, "what for?"

"Story for another time," I said yawning, "scratch my head Alice."

"Remus come get your girlfriend, head scratching is your problem now," Alice complained pushing me off her lap.

"He isn't my boyfriend!"  I complained.

"We haven't even gone on our first date," Remus reminded them pulling me up and letting me sit with him.

"As much as I would love to watch this disgusting display of affection I have a date with Emmeline Vance," Sirius said boredly standing up.

I shot up in surprise as did Remus, "What?!?!?" We both yelled.

Sirius smiled smugly, "yea poor little thing was heartbroken over some guy, so I offered to ease her pain. Then I eased it again, and again, and again, and you get the picture, adios!"

I gritted my teeth and sank into my seat, "I hate that bitch."

"Emmeline is honestly not that bad Anne," Lily said.

"I was talking about Sirius."
