"YOU WHAT!?!" Lily screamed while Alice just stared with her jaw dropped.

"Shhhhh... someone might hear you!"  I hissed staring at the open door of our compartment.

"If you are that worried about someone finding out, then why do it in the first place!" Lily shot at me.

"Yea Anne, I have to agree with Lily on this one.  What were you thinking?" Alice said recovering from shock.

"I was thinking..." I glanced at the compartment door again, "That my amazing guy friend who has always been there for me through thick and thin, was seriously injured because his family threatened me and he defended me.  It was a spur of the moment thing."

"So you almost had sex with him because he was injured," Lily stated, looking at me like I was crazy.

"Were you not listening to what I just said!" I groaned falling back.

Alice jumped up like she was electrocuted, "Oh. My. Goodness.  You like him!"

I jumped and covered Alice's mouth in a hurry, "NO! No... no. I do not like him as anything more than a friend."

"Then why are you blushing," Lily bluntly asked making me snatch my hands away to cover my face.

"Will you two stop interrogating me!"

I got interrupted by someone coughing making us all turn and see Remus standing in the doorway.

"Umm.." he coughed uncomfortably, "Anne we have a prefects meeting."

"Right!" I said shooting up and walking out the door , "Thank you Remus."

"No problem," he muttered from beside me.

We walked silently all the way to the prefects compartment and sat down for the meeting.

Once the meeting was over, Remus and I made our way out together.

I clicked my tongue due to the awkward silence and then said, "I think I'll join you and the boys for the rest of the ride."

He just nodded and so I tried again, "How was your summer?"

He snorted before saying, "Apparently not nearly as eventful as yours."

I halted and felt my face heat up as he stopped and looked at me as well, "you overheard our conversation?"

He rolled his eyes, "It's not like you were being very quiet."

I looked down feeling guilty, "I'm sorry."

"What for?" Remus questioned, "I'm not exactly surprised, Sirius is handsome, smart, funny, and not to mention doesn't turn into a rabid beast once a month."

"Will you stop it!" I snapped, "I didn't exactly plan on it happening and if you would have never rejected me, it probably wouldn't have.  I was lonely, he was hurt, and you were rubbing Emmeline in my face."

Remus's angry face softened and he grabbed my hand, "Anne, Emmeline is just a friend.  I didn't mean to rub her in your face."

I ripped my hand away from his, and turned to head to the boys compartment, "Its done and over with, let's just go sit down."

We made our treck to the compartment and I stopped when I heard arguing through the closed door.

"What are you..." Remus started but I shushed him making him lean in curiously too.

"You are not using my sister as another one of your play things Sirius!" James argued.

"She's not a play thing to me James.  It wasn't even suppose to happen.  It was a moment of weakness, just a bit of fun.  Won't ever happen again," Sirius said carelessly.

I scoffed angrily and turned to Remus who had his eyebrows furrowed.

"Remus, please forgive me for this," I said firmly.

He looked at me confused and said, " for wha.."

I interrupted him by grabbing him by his robes and pulling him against me and into the wall to where my back would hit it making a thump sound.

I connected our lips and they moved in Sync.  We continued kissing until we heard the compartment door slide open and the voice of Sirius, "the actual fuck?"

We broke apart and I looked over to see a dumbstruck Sirius glaring at a flustered Remus.

I smiled smugly at Sirius and then patted Remus's cheek, "Good talk Remus."

I then walked off, back towards the girls compartment.

I entered the compartment and stated to the girls, "Well I just did something stupid!"

Lily groaned in aggravation, "Can't we go one train ride without any drama!"

"Hello Ladies!"  The annoying voice of my brother interrupted Lily, Alice, and I as we sat on the common room sofa gossiping.

Lily gave him a scathing look, "What do you want Potter?"

He smiled widely and flopped next to her throwing an arm around her neck.  She surprisingly didn't move it but her eye still did that little twitchy thing.

"Hello Peter!" I greeted kindly as he sat in the arm chair across from us.

"So pray tell brother of mine, why have you graced us with your annoying presence," I asked mockingly towards James making him scowl.

"The boys dormitory is a bloody nightmare right now.  Peter and I Thought it best to go hang out in a less tense environment," he answered making me raise an eyebrow.

"Less tense environment, what is that suppose to mean?" I asked confused.

"Sirius and Remus," Peter answered, "they keep bouncing back in forth between ignoring each other and being at each others throats."

"Yes!" James butted in, "because my lovely sister decided she couldn't keep it in her trousers this summer."

"James!" I exclaimed feeling my face turn red, "I don't see why they are even arguing, Remus rejected me and Sirius said I was a lapse of judgement."

James groaned, "because they both have these moronic crushes on you, for what reason I don't know.  You are a bloody beast to live with but alas it's true, as much as I hate it."

I rolled my eyes, "okay Remus maybe, Sirius, no way in hell."

Alice pipped up, "It's not really a farfetched idea Anne, to any outsider all they would see is Sirius fawning after you."

"He doesn't fawn after..."

"He once carried you to all your classes because you simply 'didn't feel like walking,'" Lily Interrupted.

"Okay that was one time..."

"He brought you breakfast in bed when you broke your pinkie toe in quidditch," Peter Reminded.

"Okay that toe really hurt..."

"He bought you a basket full of sweets from Honeydukes and laid in bed with you all day when grandma died," James said gently, "you can ignore it all you want Anne but Sirius cares about you."

I felt my face heating up and covered it with my hands in embarrassment, "what am I gonna do?"

"Take your time and decide what you want, Peter and I will handle them until then," James said standing up and leaning over to hug me.

"That's.." Lily said curiously, "very thoughtful of you James."

James did a hair flip, "I try."

"aaaaaand you ruined it."
