"Please, call me Leo."
I stood up and leaned against him. I watched the moon rise above the water and I began thinking of my training. I was told that as a sword user that I must be swift, deadly, and fluid, just as the ocean. My domain is the night, the moon is a symbol of power for me. My mother was Wiccan, or a technical witch. On each of our belts, we had our element symbol etched messily into them. Except me. Mine was on the scabbard. I looked over at Leo.
"Then you may call me (n/n)."
He nodded. I slipped my hand into his. His three fingers tightly gripped my five, and his hand was surprisingly warm. It was a feeling I had never felt before today. It was comforting and I felt like I could lean on him. I looked at him dead in his ocean eyes.
"You're right Leo. Even leaders cry sometimes, and people like us have to stick together. I'd like to make a pact with you."
"What kind of pact?"
I pulled out my dagger and slit my palm. Not enough to do any crazy damage, just enough to draw blood.
"No blood borne diseases?"
He shook his head. I handed him the dagger and my eyes hardened. He nodded and took my dagger, slowly making a cut similar to mine. I held out my hand, he took it.
"Now we share blood Leo. For me this is a blood pact, not some stupid brotherhood. This is serious."
"I wouldn't take it any other way (Y/n)."
I pulled my hand away and wiped away the blood with a tissue. I handed Leo a tissue too, he wiped away his own blood as well. I sat down again and looked at the moon. It was full and round, and soothing. I closed my eyes. I used my other senses to tell me my surroundings.
Waves crashing on the shore
Leonardo's breathing next to me
The cold roof under me
The ocean wind blowing into my face
Metal against the ground
Foot steps
I opened my eyes. That's not natural. I unsheathed my sword and looked behind me baring my teeth. There was a girl in armor. Black hair, short framing her long face. Deep black eyeliner with red flares. I growled. She pulled off her metal mask and smirked. Her aura was dangerous and slick, like a serpent.
"Hey Leo. Who's this chick?"
Leo turned around and smiled. He put his hand up telling me to put my weapon away. I stood up straight and sheathed my sword again and looked at little miss serpent.
"This is (Y/n). She's a Kraang experiment. I saved her from them."
He has a thing for this serpent girl. It made my blood boil in a way I'd never felt. Is this how Vivian felt? Was this the anger she always spoke of? I spoke up.
"Swallow your pride Leonardo. You AND your brothers saved me when I didn't need it."
I SAID THAT?! I stood my ground. His cheeks flared a deep red and he rubbed the back of his neck. He turned and glared at me. The serpent girl smirked and giggled.
"Hilarious Leonardo. Shown up by your girlfriend."
I shouted at the serpent girl. Girlfriend?! How dare she insult me so! Leonardo and I?! Never!
"I'M NOT HIS GIRLFRIEND! HELL I DONT EVEN WANT TO BE HERE! HE'S INSUFFERABLE! IN FACT!"
I spread my wings. It's time to give it a shot. I powered up and gave one powerful flap. I shot into the air and began to fly again. I flew over the ocean and flew far far away. Away from this mess. Away from that stupid turtle who's been burning down my walls. No more! NO MORE! I heard Leonardo call my name, begging me to come back, begging me not to give up my progress, begging me not to leave. Begging. Begging. Begging. No more.
