My head is pounding. My vision is doubled. I could hear a voice, muffled but I could make it out. I saw... was it 2 or 4 fingers being held up. A blur of purple.
"How many fingers am I holding up? (Y/n)! How many fingers."
I couldn't respond. I saw a blur of orange in front of me. My hearing began to fade a bit again. The voice was high pitched and squeaky. I saw a red blur. The voice was deep and sounded angry. Then a saw a blue blur. I heard the blue blur speak. It's voice was soft and gentle. I could hear it better.
"Are you ok?"
I lifted my head slightly. My vision began to return. I saw Leo in front of me. He looked worried. I saw a large wrap around his shoulder and chest. I also saw the rest of the turtles huddled around me.
"L-Leo?"
He smiled, there were tears in his eyes. He leaned down and held me close to his chest. I saw the soft white bandages on his shoulder and plastron.
"You're ok right?" He let go of me slightly to look at my face. His eyes sparkled with happiness and relief. "Oh god! Donnie said that you might have had amnesia or-or a horrible brain bleed or like 40 different lethal things and 100 unconvincing things and I began to over think and-... I'm just glad you're ok... you are ok right?"
I smiled. "You're such a dork Leo." I looked into his eyes and kissed his cheek. He smiled and held me close. All of a sudden, the guilt came rushing back to me. My walls. I pushed him away. He looked at me concerned. "Don't worry, my uh.. head hurts."
He nodded and backed away. How the hell am I gonna tell this innocent turtle that I lied to him and broke our promise. You won't. That's a stupid idea. What other choice do you have? I got up and told the guys I had to go to the bathroom.
On my way there, April stopped me. She waved and hugged me, thanking everything she had that I was ok. All of a sudden she stopped and looked at me.
"Y-You're hiding something." My eyes widened. I looked down at the ground avoiding her gaze. "Wait a minute... you... no... (Y/n)... I can't believe you lied to Leo."
I hate that she can read my mind! She's not even discreet about it! I'm not her book for free reading. I covered her mouth. "You can't tell him! Darkness is my issue not his!"
"That doesn't mean you can lie to him!"
"Listen April-"
"No you're mind has already said it all (Y/n)! You need to tell him!"
"April I need-"
"No! You go back there and be honest with Leo!"
"I can't-"
"You're making excuses!"
"April-"
"NO! Just listen here!"
"NO! YOU HAVE NO IDEA WHAT DARKNESS IS CAPABLE OF! THIS ISN'T ANYONE'S BUSINESS BUT MINE! STAY OUT OF THIS APRIL!"
April growled and stamped her foot on the ground. She's so childish sometimes! She always looks so frail and clumsy, even when she is angered.
"You can't fight that maniac alone."
I sneered at her. Thanks for your confidence! I can fight that creep on my own! I don't want her interfering with Darkness. She's a danger to everyone around her and I can't let that jeopardize her safety or the safety of others! This is my fight.
"Yes I can and I will April. Leo doesn't have to know about Darkness and her return! And he won't know!"
"Oh yes I will. I came out after I heard you scream at April."
