"Zoe, how do we tell our parents about it? We kind of do need to tell them," I queried. She hesitated for a minute. "We need to tell them how much this means to us, and that transport is paid for, all we need is some clothes, passport and hand luggage, and tell them that we will be back soon or something." I nodded slowly at her response. "Okay." We were currently sat in my car, outside my parent's house. "Okay, I'm ready to go in." I slowly opened the car door and exhaled slowly and heavily, Zoe followed.

I rang the bell, my mum answered. "Holly! How are you?"

"Um, I'm good thanks, mum. I need to speak to you, about something." I stepped in the front door and she nodded, "Okay," she replied. Zoe and I walked in and we sat down in the living room, my mum called my dad. He came down the stairs rubbing his eyes- he'd been asleep. I gave both mum and dad a hug. We talked for a little bit about mine and Zoe's new apartment, university and jobs. "Yeah, I passed. I've had a job interview at one place, so I'll see what happens," I told my mum about my psychology course and potential future job. "Listen, mum, we have to be real quick..." I told her about the tour, the boys, and how it would be an amazing chance to travel. "This can count as my gap year. Look, I get it must be hard for you, but I really want to go and before you say no-"

"Yes," my mum said.

"What?" I asked, in shock.

"Yes, you can go. Look, this is an amazing opportunity to travel- like you said. But I want you to get an international sim or something, I'll talk to the phone company. I really want you to keep in contact with us, don't want you forgetting us, do we?" she said, laughing.

My dad laughed, too and said, "Enjoy yourself, and make sure you stay safe."

"I will. Look, do you want to talk to Luke? Just so you can.. I don't know, just talk about everything, plans, travel, accommodation." My mum looked at my dad and they both nodded. I dialled Luke's number.

"Hey! Is everything okay?" He said.

"Yeah, yes everything is good. Can I put you on the phone to my mum, so you can talk about the tour and stuff?" I asked him, not wanting him to feel awkward. "Yeah, that's fine."

"Thank you so much," i said, passing the phone over to my mum. They talked for a while, my mums replies mostly consisting of "oh", "yes", "alright" and "okay".

"Well okay, thank you for speaking to us, it was really helpful," my mum said. Dad quickly grabbed the phone from her and said to Luke, "You better take care of her."

"Oh, I will. I promise, sir," I heard Luke say.

My dad nodded, "Okay, I'll put her back on now, thanks, Luke."

"Hello?" I said into the phone.

"Hello, you. Are you excited?" he asked me.

"Incredibly," I replied, "Look, we have to pack and see Zoe's parents still. So, I'll see you later. Byeee."

"Can't wait. Bye." And he hung up. I turned to my parents. "You. I. Thank you. You have no idea how much this means to me,thank you, so much, it means the world. I miss you guys already. I promise that I'll stay safe, honestly. And I'll text you both everyday," I hugged them both hard.

"And if anything goes wrong, like you fall out or something, just come home, okay?" my dad said. I nodded and replied with, "Yes, I know. Well, we're have to get off now, to see Zoe's parents and pack. See you material soon." We all had an extra long hug, and then we left.

We went to Zoe's and told her parents; they seemed more excited than us. "Have fun, Zoe!" her mum said, "And you, Holly!"

I smiled and waved, "I will do, bye see you soon!"

"Whew, that was hard," Zoe said.

I sighed, "I know, but it's okay, we'll see them again soon!"

We drove back to our apartment, and quickly packed. I packed my high waisted shorts, black skinny jeans, blue skinny jeans, 2 white tops, 1 5sos top, a black vest and other practical clothes- I could get nicer stuff later. My hand luggage predominantly consisted of my phone, charger, a book, lip balm and head phones. Oh, and an international plug. "Zoe, I can't even believe what we're going to do. My god."

She looked up from her packing, "Shit. Me neither, this is crazy."
