At 9pm, I went downstairs; I'd just spent ages in Luke's room, listening to his music since he left. He'd been gone for hours and I hadn't heard anything from him. It was really bugging me, how he'd over-reacted even when I told him it was okay. I missed him, though.

"Has, ugh, has anyone heard anything from Luke?" I asked, as I walked into the kitchen. The phone was to Michael's ear and there was a pizza menu laid out on the table. He put his hand over the bottom of the phone and said, "No, isn't he back yet?" I shook my head. He mouthed 'don't worry' and winked.

I couldn't not worry though.

Nobody else had heard anything from Luke, so I decided to call him. His phone rang out, so I decided to leave it.

The pizza came, and we all sat on the living room floor, with duvets and watching films with our pizza. There was a couple slices of pizza left, as the film was nearing the end.

That's when I got the call.

My phone started to buzz, on the table next to the sofa. I still had a slice of pizza in my hand and answered it- it was an unknown number. Expecting it to be some cold call, or someone trying to sell something, I answered bluntly. "Hello," I said coldly.

"Hello, is this Holly Rennie?"

"Look, if you're trying to sell me something, don't bother."

"Oh no, I'm not. Is this Holly Rennie?"

"Yes, it is."

"I have some information about your partner, Luke Hemmings," the voice told me. I felt myself beginning to panic.

"Yes? W, what is it?" I asked, shaking.

"Im afraid.. I'm afraid he has been in a car accident. He's in hospital, he is currently in a coma."

I suddenly felt my stomach wrenching and I had to run to the bathroom. The contents of my stomach were spewed into the toilet and I couldn't breathe.

You know that feeling after you've been badly winded?

That whole feeling consumed me, but it wasn't for a short time. For a number of minutes I was gasping for air, unable to breathe. Then finally, I found my breath and I began to wail. This wasn't a cry this was a genuine empty wail. I felt like my chest was going to collapse.

Zoe came running in, "Holly?? Shit, Holly what's happened?" She helped me to my feet. I felt so incredibly weak, I was surprised I could stand. Ashton banged on the bathroom door, "Holly?? What's happened?" I opened my mouth to respond, but I just couldn't. Only struggled, uneven breaths came out. Zoe held me up, "Ash, one minute." She flushed the toilet for me and turned on the tap. "Clean yourself up, then we'll talk."
