Over the next few days, Luke was really weird around me- I couldn't bear it. I thought that after he woke up, it'd be better, but it was worse.

"Annie?" I heard Luke call from his room. He was still calling me that, because he didn't know my real name- which annoyed me. I bet you're wondering why I didn't just tell him my name? Well, I knew that if he ever called me by my real name, it would mean he remembered me.

"Yeah?" I asked, walking into his room.

"What's this?" he asked, holding up a photo of me and him.

"A photo?" I replied, sitting down on the floor with him.

"Yes, I can see that, but it's us?" he asked.

"Yes, it is? Look, where is this going?"

"I was just wondering about you, because you haven't told me much," he said.

"If I told you, you wouldn't believe me," I said, before walking out.

The next weekend, Luke brought a girl back. "Guys, this is Hannah." I glared at him from the sofa. "Hi," I said. Michael shot me a glance.

"Hi, Hannah. It is lovely meeting you, but I'm afraid, tonight is a friend's only. Sorry honey, 'fraid you'll have to go." He opened the door for her and she looked at Luke, angrily. Michael patted her on the back, encouraging her to go out the door. She walked out and Michael slammed the door. "What the fuck? What? Michael?" Luke laughed in disbelief. He went off upstairs in a strop. "Michael..thank you," I said.

A while later, I went upstairs to see Luke. I knocked on the door. "Hey," I said. He tugged out his ear phones and paused his music. He looked up at me, "Hi."

"What was it like?" I asked him.

"What was what like?"

"The coma. I'm, I'm just curious," I stuttered.

"I don't remember, to be honest. I guess it was just weird, you know? Waking up in a hospital, like what just happened? How long was I in the coma for?" he asked.

"A few weeks. I was at your bedside most of the time," I replied.

"Really?" he asked, "Wow, thanks."

"It's fine I guess.."

"We must know each other," he said.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"If we weren't that close, why were you there the whole time?"

"I know Ashton and uh.. I just came to see you a lot, and let him know how you were."

"I know you're lying," he laughed.

"I'm not."

"What's your fiancé like?" he asked.

"He's.. he's amazing. I love him like crazy. But recently, he's different, I hadn't seen him for weeks, until he came back...different. I still love him though. When he came back, I," my eyes were welling up, "I was so unbelievably happy. It was the happiest I've ever been. And then, after a while, he was.. not himself. He wasn't like he was before." A single tear fell down my cheek, I laughed awkwardly and wiped it away. "But I hope he'll be back soon." I got up and left.
