"Lillianna." Someone called as they shook her.
She peeled her eyes open. "Oin, I'm fine." She murmurs as she turns into her pillows.
"Not a check up, Lillianna. We are all needed at the gate." Oin said.
"Can you wait outside? I'll just slip something else on." Lillianna smiled.
Once Oin had left the room Lillianna walked over to the trunk of dresses Thorin had sent her after Smaug was killed. She flicked through till she found a green one. The green that reminded her of her father's clothes. She wondered what he was doing at this moment. Lillianna shook her head and slipped the dress on.
"I'm ready." She smiled at Oin as she left the room.
Lillianna started twirling down the corridor, no longer feeling nauseous. She felt absolutely fine today maybe the she had slept the illness away. She burst into the entrance hall laughing.
She looked to see the dwarves stacking rock from broken statues in the entrance.
"What's happening?" Lillianna asked as her smile dropped.
"The people of laketown have entered Dale." Dwalin said from his position on the temporary wall.
"So we're building a wall, Why?" Lillianna asked.
"I want this fortress made safe by sun up. This mountain was hard won. I will not see it taken again." Thorin called as he entered the room from the side.
"The people of Laketown have nothing. They came to us in need. They have lost everything." Kili argued with his Uncle from beside the cart.
"Do not tell me what they have lost. I know well enough their hardship. Those who have lived through dragonfire should rejoice. They have much to be grateful for." Thorin hissed as he inspected the wall.
"Hû ú-gaun!" Lillianna calls as she heads up to the ramparts. (Translation: Cowardly dog.)
Lillianna watched as the Elves swarmed Dale yet she didn't say a word. It was only when she noticed Bard leaving Dale and heading towards the mountain did she dare speak to anyone.
"Bard is coming!" She yelled. The others came up to the ramparts and joined me.
Thorin glanced at the elves in Dale before glaring at Lillianna. Lillianna just shrugged while smiling innocently.
"Hail Thorin, son of Thrain! We are glad to find you alive beyond hope." Bard called up.
"Why do you come to the gates of the King under the Mountain armed for war?" Thorin asked.
"Why does the King under the Mountain fence himself in? Like a robber in his hole." Bard asked back.
"Perhaps it is because I am expecting to be robbed." Thorin yelled.
"My lord, we have not come to rob you, but to seek fair settlement. Will you not speak with me?" Bard asked.
Thorin nods and starts walking down to the hole in the wall.
"Bard." Lillianna smiles waving. Bard smiles waving back.
Bard dismounts and walks to the hole to speak with Thorin.
As Bard starts discussing with Thorin the dwarves and Bilbo head down to listen. Lillianna stays at the top, knowing Thorin would not keep his word.
"Be gone, ere arrow fly!" Lillianna hears Thorin shout.
Lillianna see Bard mount his horse and turn back to look at her. "I'm sorry." She mouths as the dwarves climb back onto the ramparts.
"What are you doing?! You cannot go to war." Bilbo reasons.
