Lillianna sat on on of the lookout, overlooking Laketown. Fire glistened across the lake. Guilt swarmed her being as she thought of them people trapped down there. The company: Fili, Kil, Bofur and Oin. Her friends: Bard, Bain, Tilda and Sigrid.
"Poor souls." Balin said.
Tears pooled in her eyes as she imagined they chaos in laketown. Bard was right. They had no right to enter the mountain and put all these people at risk. She turned and noticed Thorin in the distance but he wasn't watching like the rest of them. Thorin was staring back at Erebor.
Lillianna tured to face the others as she could no longer watch the burning of innocence.
"What was that? What happened?" Ori spoke as a rumble filled the plains of Erebor.
"It fell. I saw it." Bilbo called.
Lillianna turned to laketown and could no longer see the flying beast.
"It's dead. Smaug is dead." Bilbo said.
"By my beard! I think he's right! Look there! The ravens of Erebor are returning to the mountain!" Gloin cheered.
"Aye. Word will spread. Before long every soul in Middle-earth will know. The dragon is dead. " Balin said.
The dwarves laugh as they watch the birds fly. Lillianna remained staring out at the town.
"But at the loss of how many live?" She whispered to herself.
A week passed and Thorin had been getting more and more distance. Bilbo claimed he was under a sickness. Lillianna really was getting sick, not that she told anyone. She was sat in the parlour with the dwarves as Thorin was down in the treasury and Bilbo out exploring. Normally Lillianna would have joined Bilbo but she was feeling much to nauseous.
"Balin!" She heard someone cheer from the door.
Lillianna turned around and saw the dwarves, the dwarves they left in the laketown.
"Fili!" She cheered. She got up and ran to him.
"Lillianna!" Fili smiled as he scooped her up and spun her round. "It's good to see you."
As Fili put Lillianna down, she got the urge to be sick.
"I'm going to be sick." She muttered as she ran to one of the buckets and lost her breakfast. She felt eyes baring into the back of her.
"Are you okay, Lass?" Balin asked.
"I am fine, Balin. It'll pass in a minute." She said as she gagged over the bucket.
"How long?" Kili asked. Lillianna stared at him blankly. "How long?" He repeated.
"This is the second day." She said grudginly.
The dwarves who had arrived with her looked shocked.
"Why didn't you tell us?" Gloin asked.
"It's just a cold. I'm not use to the cold weather." She smiled as she wiped the corner of her mouth with a piece of cloth she carried in her pocket.
"Does Thorin know?" Fili asked.
"No. He doesn't need to. He has enough on his mind right now." Lillianna said. The dwarves looked at her suspitiously. "Enough about me. I want to know about how you escaped? Oh and Kili how are you feeling?" She asked as she tried to change the subject.
Another week had past and Thorin was steadily going mad. He had insisted that everyone trawl through the hoard for the Arkenstone. Lillianna sat on a nearby staircase directly opposite the balcony Thorin was stood on. Lillianna's sickness hadn't got any better so Oin had placed her on rest till she got better. This meant she had to be sat down at nearly all times and she had to be near one of the others in case her condition got worse. Lillianna hated it but what could she do so here she was staring at endless sparkly jewels that were giving her a headache.
