Today is my 8 week mark. I've got the doctors appointment today and I really hope Conner can make it. We've been doing so good since we left my old house. He's been so busy though, coach has been really pushing the team because they lost their first football game.
"Hey babe." Conner said coming into class.
"Hey" I said as he leaned down and kissed me. "You're coming to the appointment right...? It's right after school..."
"Yes, I talked to coach about it and he's letting me out of practice tonight. Even though there's a game tonight. I'm kind of shocked actually." he laughed.
"Me too. I gotta take a nap after the doctors though if I'm gonna go out there and cheer." I laughed back.
He stopped laughing and started getting serious. "Babe do you have to cheer still? You've got a baby bump now, I don't want anything to happen."
"Conner I'm fine, the squad knows I can't do the flips and all that. I'm basically just telling them how to do everything."
"Alright guys, let's get to work. Look up to the screen please." The teacher said interrupting our conversation. After class I followed Conner to his truck and we drove to the doctors office.
"Lindsey Taylor." I said to the lady behind the desk. Moments later a nurse came through a door and called my name, leading Conner and I to a room. I lifted up my shirt and layed back.
"You are 8 weeks, right?" The nurse asked.
I nodded. "Your little guy is really growing then." she said referring to my stomach. It was not just a little baby bump it was kinda big. The nurse looked at the screen and after a few minutes gave me some napkins. "You're little baby is looking perfectly healthy. I'll let you get cleaned up and we can talk about pregnancy facts and schedule your next appointment." she smiled. I cleaned off the cold gel that she had rubbed on my stomach and looked over to a smiling Conner.
"What?" I asked him now putting a smile on my face.
"I'm just so happy. We got a little boy or girl in your belly growing like crazy. I just can't wait to actually have him in my arms."
I laughed, "You don't have to go through labor. I can wait." He laughed and we walked over to the office the nurse had told us to go to. 20 minutes of more and more things to know about pregnancy I had a whole notebook filled out. Conner had laughed because I was 'obsessively noting' but I just didn't want to forget anything she was saying.
"Alright. You ready to go?" Conner asked me.
"Yessiree" I laughed.
"Heyyyyyy sista!" Lexie yelled as we walked through the apartment door.
"Heyyyyy brat" I laughed and she rolled her eyes.
"Alright, i'm gonna go to my place and get everything ready for the game and get packed. Don't forget, we're leaving right after the game to go to my parents. See you in a bit." Conner kissed my forehead before going out the door. I walked down the hall to my room and drag out my suitcase. I really don't like airplanes. I mean the last time I went on one was when I was 7 and it was a really bad storms so we had to land somewhere different but it was just a bad experience. Conner's parents live in Tennessee so unless we want to drive forever we have to go on a plane. He told them I was pregnant but they really wanted to meet me so they bought us tickets to fly there and back. I grabbed a few outfits and pajamas. Got my swim suit, hair and hygiene stuff. Once I was done I looked at my phone and saw that it was already 5:24 and I have to be at the school by 7 so I decided now would be a good time to take a nap. One second after shutting my eyes and I was already out. Pregnancy is horrible for a person who loves her sleep.
