"Sis!" Hansel shouted over my cries. "Sis, chill! It is just a dog!"

I stopped my screaming and glanced down at a dog.

The dog was a black poodle. It was brushing against my leg.

I breathed heavily. "Oh my goodness." I thought that the dog was a creature. A monster.

Hansel laughed. "That dog is funny," he said. "He is showing you affection like there is no tomorrow."

I glared at the dog. It was now on its back, smiling at me and wagging its tail.

"Woof!" the dog barked.

I slightly smiled. "You are a cute dog. And you gave me a fright." I bent down and tickled the dog's belly. The dog panted happily and howled.

As I was reaching to pick up the dog, a drop of water fell on the tip of my nose. I wiped my nose and stuck out my tongue.

It did not feel like water.

It felt like spit. Drool.

Another drop fell on my forehead, and I slowly looked up.

And came face to face with a horrifying creature.

And I was not mistaking or joking this time.

The creature was real.
