"Ow!" Jeongguk said as he jumped back away from the faucet looking at the older. "That just makes it hurt more!"

Hoseok simply sighed as he kept his grip on Jeongguk's hand and dragged his wrist to stay under the icy water. The red-head couldn't help but frown as he saw the pout form on the younger's face while he was continuing to try to squirm away. Slowly Jeongguk seemed to adapt to the cold water and was grateful for it cooling his burn.

"See? It doesn't hurt as much now, does it?"

"No," Jeongguk muttered in response staring down at his wrist that Hoseok was still loosely holding onto. Suddenly he seemed to gasp in surprise rushing out of the employee break room. "I have to work!"

He made his way back behind the register noticing that nobody else was in the cafe except for the protagonists. Slowly his mind seemed to fully comprehend that they helped him in that situation and now he was left alone in a place with them.

This is the exact opposite of what he had wanted to happen. He was supposed to stick away from protagonists like everyone else so he could keep up the average life he had worked so hard for. Instead here he was surrounded by three of them and that made him feel anxious.

"T-thanks for helping me." He muttered keeping his eyes on the floor. He didn't want to be reminded of their colorful hair and he had never been so close to so many main characters before. "I appreciate it."

"It's no problem, Jeongguk," Yoongi said as he smiled at the younger. He usually was one to keep quiet and have a straight face, unless he was extremely close to the other person, so Namjoon and Hoseok couldn't help but look at each other in surprise. Jeongguk was simply biting his cheek trying to calm himself down as a protagonist had actually said his name. He never imagined that he'd ever be on talking terms with another protagonist and the thought that he actually was made him smile. Then he remembered that this was the exact opposite of what he needed to keep his identity a secret which made him frown. His quick twist of emotions didn't go unnoticed by the three main characters. "Anyone would have helped, that guy was being a jerk and took it way too far."

"Anyone." He mumbled thinking about how the couple had seen the guy yelling at him but quickly made for the exit. "Anyone would have helped."

"Hey, are you okay?" Namjoon said as he brought his hand up to the youngest's forehead. "You look like you're about to be sick."

"I'm fine," Jeongguk said walking backwards before Namjoon could end up touching him. "I'm just doing my job, I'm fine."

The three protagonists frowned at how the younger's mood changed and they all exchanged looks with each other. They couldn't deny the fact that they felt drawn to the younger and wanted to be his friend but getting him to open up to them seemed near impossible.

He definitely was different from everyone else and didn't seem to look up at them as if they were on a separate level than him. He almost seemed scared of them at times and tried to ignore their existence instead of worshiping it. The three couldn't imagine how someone else would react to protagonists helping them out, surely it'd end up with endless thank yous and bows.

Jeongguk had expressed his appreciation but it was clear he wanted to be nowhere near the three protagonists any longer.

"Jeongguk," Hoseok said as he furrowed his brow seeing the younger frown still refusing to look at him. "Are you sure you're okay?"

"Could you just leave me alone? I'm trying to work." He said as he finally looked up glaring at the three older men. He was beginning to grow frustrated at the turn of events and desperately didn't want protagonists near him any longer. "Stop bugging me and go hang out with other protagonists."

Before anyone else could say anything else the bell to the cafe rang and in walked a customer. Jeongguk's attitude immediately took a 180 and he smiled at the other person.

"Hello, how may I help you?"

The protagonists couldn't help but frown noticing how friendly Jeongguk was acting towards the stranger and grimaced when the person seemed to let their hand linger on Jeongguks when handing him the cash for their order. They couldn't seem to say anything about it and just looked at each other remembering the words Jeongguk had said previously.

Suddenly all of their phones seemed to buzz signifying they had received a message from the group chat they were in with their other boyfriends. Namjoon simply sighed as he looked at Hoseok and Yoongi knowing that they had to go as they agreed to hang out at Jin's place later that night. They desperately wanted to talk things through with Jeongguk but the situation didn't allow them and he didn't want anything to do with them anyways.

So the three of them begrudgingly all walked out of the cafe going to hang out with other protagonists like Jeongguk had told them to.
