CHAPTER 35 TSYO

*Kath's POV*

"Keags. Keags, please pumunta ka dito sa bahay." I whimpered on the phone.

"Ha? Bakit anong nangyar-" I cut her off with another sigh.

"Just please pumunta ka dito." I piped. Nakaupo ako ngayon sa lapag, clutching my legs close to my chin. I rocked back and forth as tears fell from my face.

She murmured a reply, sinabing makakarating siya as soon as possible. I sat there for God knows how long. Bakit sakin to nangyayari? Bakit ako pa?

Do I deserve this? This kind of immense pain is suffocating me. Pakiramdam ko kahit anong gawin ko, makakasakit ako ng tao.

Halos mapasabunot na ko sa sarili ko. Pagkatapos ng tawag ko kay Daniel, I ran as fast as I could back to my house. I was suddenly snapped out of my reverie nang tumunog ang doorbell.

Napatakbo ako papunta dito, I turned the knob quickly and I spoke.  "K-keags buti nandito ka n-"

Napatigil ako sa pagsasalita nang makita ko kung sino ang nasa pinto. I felt like the ground was swallowing me alive. Nakatayo siya ngayon sa harap ko, holding his phone close to his face.

Nagtitigan lang kami, hindi ko alam kung ano ang sasabihin ko sa kanya. I was not ready for this today, hindi ko pa kayang harapin siya.

Bago pa siya makapagsalita, I slammed the door in his face. Pero, sa kamalas malasan ko naman, he saw it coming. He slipped his foot inside, para pigilan ang pagsara ko ng pinto.

I pushed it forcefully, at tinulak niya din ito papasok. "Kathryn, let's talk about this!" he yelled.

I shook my head, kahit hindi niya nakikita. I only pushed the door further, pero sadyang ang lakas niya. He spoke again.  "Kathryn, please let me in. Anong ibig mong sabihin sa sinabi mo? You can't just say that!" he yelled again.

Sinandalan ko maigi ang pinto, I cleared my throat to speak.  "Daniel, please wag ngayon! L-let's talk about this some other time..just not now!" sigaw ko. I pleaded desperately at him.

"You can't avoid this forever, Kathryn. If not now, kelan pa natin pag-uusapan?!" he yelled back.

And that was when I realized na tama siya. Kahit ilang beses ko pang ipagtulakan siya palabas, ganun pa rin ehh. The ending won't change, the situation is still the same.

Kahit ano pang pagtatago ang gawin ko, hindi nun mababago ang kahit na ano.

With that thought, napaupo ako sa lapag habang nakasandal sa pintuan. I slowly stood up again and backed away from the door. It revealed Daniel, panting and sweating.

"Unlove you?" he asked me, his voice breaking with hurt. I closed my eyes for a brief moment. Napaupo ako sa isa sa mga upuan sa living room. I couldn't bear look at him.

Tumango ako, he slowly walked towards me. He kneeled infront of me and held my chin.

"Bakit? May nagawa ba kong mali? Just tell me and I'll fix it I promise." he pleaded. Tears almost fell from my eyes, pero pinigilan ko itong tumulo.

I stood up and walked away from him. Nagpaikot-ikot ako sa buong kwarto.

"Anong tingin mo kay Mich?" I asked him softly. Biglang napataas yung mga kilay niya, confused about my question.

"What do you mean? Siya si Mich, yes she reminds me of Lexie but that's it I gue-" I cut him off.

"Maganda ba siya?" I asked him, my heart slowly breaking into pieces. Mas lalong kumunot ang noo niya. He sighed deeply and spoke again.
