Hey guys. So we have a question for you, well two questions actually. First, should we enter The Elemental Four into Watty Awards? And if The Elemental Four was going to be a series would we be able to post the second book before Watty Awards was over?

Please tell us what you think! Thanks so much for everything

I stopped rolling down the hill and for a moment I just laid there.

"Zeya!" I heard someone yell. Then I remembered the Werecat. I looked around and the cat was getting up. It’s white furry back against me so I decided to move slowly and silently. This worked until I crushed a twig. The snap echoed through the woods as the Werecat turned around to face me.

It growled showing its fangs and cracking its knuckles as it showed me its claws. I slowly started crawling backwards; I needed to get away from this thing.

"Zeya, run!" I heard Ace yell and I was about to stand and run when something crashed against the Werecat and made him roll and crash against a tree.

"Ace!" I heard Caleb and Lilah yelled from behind me. I turned around and looked up to see Ace standing behind me. He had a large knife in his hand. "Don't be stupid, hot head!" Lilah yelled.

"Zeya. Get up and run back to Caleb and Lilah"

"No, I'm not leaving you!" I said.

"This isn't the time to be brave kid" He said. Ace grabbed my arm and pulled me to my feet. The Werecat rose to his feet and roared ferociously. Ace put an arm in front of me as the Werecat just looked at both of us. “Now, move and go to the others." Ace said, taking a step closer. "Come, kitty kitty."

"Ace I'm not-"

"Go!" He interrupted me before charging the Werecat. The Werecat lunged at him and made him crash against a tree. It tried to strike Ace with its claws but Ace ducked it and started to crawl away.

"Aw, the kitty it's too slow for me!" Ace said, standing up and slashing with the knife at the Werecats back. The cat growled in pain but managed to turn around and push Ace back. He slammed hard against a tree and slowly fell to the bottom.

"Ace!" I yelled, going to run to him but someone wrapped their arms around me. It was Caleb.

"I’m coming, buddy!" Caleb yelled as he let go of me and ran toward Ace to help him but stopped dead in his tracks when the cat turned toward him. "Whoa, there kitty. How about you are good kitty and I'll give you some tuna?" The cat took a couple steps toward Caleb.

"Stay away from my friends" Ace yelled as he tackled the Werecat. They rolled around on the forest floor. I looked around for any way to help him and then I noticed it.

"Ace! Stop! There's a cliff!" I screamed. Caleb looked at me and then over to Ace.

"Ace! Watch out!" He yelled as they rolled closer to the cliff. Caleb tried to catch up with them, but it was too late. They both fell down the cliff. I heard a roar and Ace's scream.

"Ace!" I screamed as tears immediately began to form in my eyes. I ran past Caleb, who was just standing there in shock. Lilah was not far behind me. I ran over to the edge and looked down. All I could see was a white ball of fur on the ground, dead.

"Ace!" I screamed hoping he had made it somehow.

"Where's Ace?" Lilah asked, looking down too.

"He-he's dead?" I said as I allowed the tears to roll down my cheeks. In anger I turned around to Caleb. "This is your fault!" I yelled. He looked where Ace had fallen off the cliff and then to me. "If you would have let me help him-" I screamed but Lilah grabbed my arm.

"This was no one’s fault" She said, pulling me in for a hug. "Just calm down"

"H-he can't be dead." Caleb said, looking down too. I cried into Lilah's shoulder and she rubbed my back.

"God. I hate cats" I looked up and there he was.

Ace.

He was alive!

"Ace?" I questioned. Lilah and Caleb both turned around and he smiled.

"Did you miss me" I pulled away from Lilah and ran to Ace, wrapping my arms around his neck and hugging him. He was holding his side and there was blood on his shirt and a cut on his cheek. "I will take that as a yes." He said, slightly laughing. "Ouch!"

"I'm sorry!" I apologized pulling away from him. Caleb walked over to him.

"I'm sorry" He said looking down.

"Hey. This wasn't your fault, I honestly ignored you" He laughed and then pulled Ace in for a quick hug. Then Ace turned to Lilah.

"Come on." He smiled. She looked at him and slowly walked over to us, and then she smiled and gave him a hug.

“I'm glad you’re ok. I don't know what I'd do without you bothering me all the time"

“Aw, you heard that Caleb? Did you record it?" He said, looking at Caleb with a goofy smile.

"Oh, shut up, airhead!" Lilah said, punching his arm. He just laughed and then Caleb's smile disappeared.

"What is it?" I asked.

"Weren't there two Werecats?” We all just looked at each other until all odd sound filled the air. I looked over at Ace. Confusion showed on his face until his eyes rolled to the back of his skull and he fell over.

"Ace!" I yelled as the other Werecat appeared behind him, blood covering his claws. I looked down at Ace and then up at the Werecat. The cat held up its paw to scratch me but Caleb did a movement with his hands and a big blanket of air threw the Werecat back against a tree. The Werecat immediately got up and Caleb and Lilah chased after it.

I kneeled down next to Ace. He had landed on his stomach. Blood was seeping through the back of his shirt. Tears fell from my eyes as I lifted it up his shirt. Deep claw marks ran over his back, and they were bleeding badly.

"Ace" I called. But he was still out. I pulled down his shirt and I flipped him over. “Ace” I put his head in my lap and noticed he already looked a shade paler. “Oh god! Ace” I yelled as I slapped his cheeks gently, hoping to jolt him awake, but it didn't work.

He was out.

I started crying harder as I held his head in my lap. Please don’t be dead!

"Lilah! Caleb" I screamed. "Help! Please!”

Please don't be dead.
