This is so exciting to be this close to one of your dreams(: Thank you all so much!
I looked around waiting for the vampires to run and attack but no one showed up. Maybe it wasn't a trap? I felt an arm wrap around my wrist and pull me back. Before I knew it Elijah was standing in front of me.
"No, don't go out there. It could be a trap" I heard Lilah say. I turned around and she was holding Aiden's hand, pleading him not to go.
"I have too. I'll be fine, I promise. Just don't leave the circle." He smiled before pulling his hand out of her grip.
"Aiden!" She yelled as he ran over to us. She was going to chase after him but Ace wrapped an arm around her waist and held her back as she trashed around, trying to get free. I turned back to the vampire. Aiden joined Elijah, standing in front of me.
"Give him to us and maybe we'll let you keep your throat intact" Elijah growled.
"He's hurt but he's still alive. They tortured him for so long but I got him out just in time. Please, he needs help" She begged. I didn’t care about anything anymore. No one could fake that kind of emotion in a tone of voice. I pushed pass Elijah and Aiden and went to help her. I didn't care if it was a tramp, Caleb needed help and I wasn't going to let him down again.
I was going to help him.
“Zeya!" Elijah groaned. I grabbed Caleb's arm and put it around my shoulder. She let go of him and I started to drag him towards the camp. Aiden stood there for a moment, starring down the vampire, before grabbing the other arm and helping me. John was waiting there just looking at us, wondering what was going on. He took Caleb from me and they dragged him into the medial tent.
"She is not lying." I said, turning to the others. Elijah had just walked back to the camp. The vampire was sitting down against a tree.
"You can't be serious Zeya" He complained as Aiden came out of the tent.
"What’s going on?" He asked.
"Zeya thinks the vampires telling the truth"
"You can’t' fake emotion like that! I'm telling you, we have to let her in. She got Caleb out within a couple days. That's good!" Elijah and Ace had a second of eye contact. It was that eye contact that signaled someone something bad was about to be told to them.
"Zeya. Caleb's been missing for more than a week. You were out for three days"
"What did you say?!" I yelled. How come no one had told me that before?
"That you were out for three days." Ace repeated, slowly. I shot him a look before looking back to the vampire. "That's not important now!" I yelled, making a second of eye contact with each of them before continuing "What's stopping her from coming in here anyway?"
“The circle counts as a house. Vampires can't come in unless invited"
"So let's invite her in" I said moving past them. Elijah grabbed my arm and pulled me back.
"We can't trust her kind, Zeya. Remember who were the ones that took him in the first place." I looked back at her. She was sitting there patiently rocking back and forth. I could tell how hard it had been for her. John walked out of the tent and I turned to him.
