Zeya’s POV
Six months. Six long, gruesome, horrible months. And Caleb hadn't been awake once. I wanted to give up most of the time but he would occasionally mumble something about Isabella and I'd be hopeful again. Serenity had told us what happened once I convinced Elijah, and Lilah had convinced Aiden, to trust her; well at least to hear her out. She had told us of all the different methods of torture they liked to use. And I couldn't even bear to think of the pain he had endured that week.
"I'm going to go stretch" Elijah smiled. I just nodded as he walked out. Elijah had stayed in the tent with me most of the time. Sometimes he'd sneak away for something to eat or to get some fresh air. But I didn't ask him to stay so I didn't care. "Need anything?" He asked, stopping by the door.
"No" I said and he just walked out. I closed my eyes for a few minutes when I heard a grunt. I opened them as quickly as possible. Caleb was slowly opening his eyes.
"Caleb?" I questioned as instant tears of relief washed over me. He looked around for a second before looking at me.
"Zeya?" He questioned with a smile.
"Caleb!" I threw myself over him giving him a tight hug.
"Ow!" He moaned and I got off him and sat back down. Elijah heard the commotion and ran into the tent.
"Caleb, you’re alive!" He laughed in relief. Caleb smiled and sat up, looking around.
"How did I get back here?
"Ace's girlfriend brought you here after those blood-suckers tortured you” Elijah groaned.
"Aces who?" He questioned.
"Before we answer your questions we have to let you stretch your legs. Six months of doing nothing? You have to be dying to move!" I smiled. He only nodded and got up, slowly making his way out of the tent. As we were walking Caleb would stumble and fall but I’d be right there to catch him. After five minutes of that he finally got his strength back in his legs and he could walk just fine. Besides a couple scratches and bruises Caleb seemed to be fine. We started to walk and Elijah followed behind us.
But there was something I needed to tell Caleb.
"Can you go tell Ace and Lilah he's alright?" Elijah just smiled and nodded walking away.
"So what's this about Ace having a girl? And how long was I out?" He asked.
"Well. While you were out Ace fell in love with a vampire" Caleb went to complain and yell at me but I kept going "The one who saved your life!" He closed his mouth "And Lilah is in love with Aiden... Oh and you've been out for six months" I rushed through the last part waiting for him to explode.
"Six months!" He yelled.
"Well, you were in a pretty bad shape when she got you here." I said.
"And you guys didn't think to go on without me?! What if the vampires already found the piece huh?"
"You would have done the same, wouldn’t you?" I said crossing my arms over my chest.
"Actually... Yeah" I looked at him shocked. "I wouldn't have left you for the same reason you didn't leave me. Because were a family now. And we have to watch out for each other" I smiled at what he said.
We were a family.
"But... I think as soon as your ready we need to leave"
"Agreed." Caleb said, "And we are going alone."
"Caleb!" Lilah yelled. He turned around and both Ace and Lilah were running up. Aiden was standing behind them slowly walking and I had no idea where Serenity was.
