The Lightning Awards Season 3 [IN SESSION]

Welcome to The Lightning Awards S3, a contest for the Inazuma Eleven fandom. Whether you are a past contestant, a prospective participant, or a curious reader, we welcome you with open arms!

This third season comes with many changes. But first, we will give you a overview of the contest.

These will be the four categories we will accept entries for.

General - for stories that don't fall into any of the other three categories, or can't be restricted by boundaries.

Love is in The Air - anything that has romance* as a main genre.

Simple is Best - short stories and one-shots.

I'm Not Mary Sue - focusing on original characters** that kick some ass and aren't an OP god or goddess.

*Likewise, stories including romance can be entered into other categories so long as the judge you apply under does not restrict romance and if romance is only a sub-genre.

**Stories with original characters may be entered into other categories too, except those with an OC lead. However, those will not receive an OC critique. On the other hand, only stories that fall or are entered into this category will receive an additional OC critique and scaled rubric.

Judge's Favorite (per judge) - Because this is the only way to acknowledge our favorites without getting biased with the rubrics.

#INAPOLL - Where your peers choose a favorite and elect a winner.

Inazuma Hero - The best of the Best. Exclusive to category winners only.

Best Hook - For that first sentence, introduction, summary, or title that takes you by the scruff of your neck and won't let go.

Longest Dedication - Because we want to reward you for sticking to it, and remind you to keep up the good work.

Best Original Character - For that lead who might have lost within their novel, but is the most humane. Exclusive to entries in I'm Not a Mary Sue.

Introducing our newest addition, #TLACOVER:

#TLACOVER - a graphic contest where your peers will choose their favorite cover.

● Because we want to bring into attention the grave crime of fanart repost and use (see IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT at the end of S2 book), only covers that follow the following requirements will be accepted:

1. If the cover has fanart, it has to be made by oneself.

2. Covers with official art are a-okay.

3. Textures from other designers have to be credited, whereas predetermined templates and images do not.

Now, because the authors with original covers not only deserve the right to participate in our newest poll, we will also award them a small badge designed by ishadas and the entries will be added to our new reading list #InazumaTamashi.

Note: All entries are automatically submitted to run for the Special Awards and Special Categories. The only exceptions are #INAPOLL and #TLACOVER, where you must tag your entry with "#INAPOLL" and "#TLACOVER" if you wish to enter.
