I Knew It When I Met Him

Last goodbye

"You ready Jaeden" my mom said

"Yeah I think so" I say looking at a picture of me and y/n

"She would've thought you look so handsome right now" my mom said

"I really miss here mom" I say tearing up

"Oh honey its okay she'll be back" she says giving me a hug as I cry on her shoulder

"Jaeden Lieberher" the principal called I walked up to the stage and shook his head and took my diploma

Then I saw the door open revealing y/n in a beautiful black dress she smiled at me then she went back out

I quickly got off the stage and ran to the hallway

"Y/n?" I say

"Jaeden" she says with a big smile on her face I then ran up to her and hugged her

"What are you doing here?" I asked

"I came to see you silly" she said

"I know that but what about your grad?" I ask

"Already had it I thought I should come to see yours"
She said

"So do you have a girlfriend?" She asked

"No" I replied

"Great so I can do this" she said before she smashed her lips against mine

I was waiting so long to feel her in my arms and against my lips again

Then she pulled away "I've got to go but meet me our garden at 10:30 Okay" she said walking to the exit doors

"Okay and also you remembered our secret garden" I say she look at me and smiled

"How could I possibly forget" she said then she left

At 10:30 I went to our secret garden and I saw her sitting there in the same black dress with a little black purse and black heels

I smiled and sat next to her "so why did you bring me here?" I ask

"I have to tell you something" she sad In a very sad tone

"Okay well what is it" I say grabbing hold on her hand

"I have cancer, stage 4 leukaemia I'm dying Jae I wanted to see you before anything happened" she said my heart shattered into a million pieces

"Y-y-you have cancer" I say chocking on my tears

"Let's not think about that let's just have the night of our lives and forget about everything yeah?" She said smiling

I nodded knowing it would make her happy so we got Finn, Wyatt, and Jack and we all went out partying and we went to our favourite diner and we played our favourite games

Y/n told them that we had to do all of our favourite things to do together but never told them why

At the end when they all went home she said

"Thank you Jaeden for showing me what love is for giving me the hope I didn't have and when I die just remember how much I love you and I don't want you so beat yourself up about because there was nothing you or anyone could've done...I'm leaving tomorrow morning to go back to the hospital so when I leave please tell they boys about my cancer and tell them that I love them so much but tonight is about me and you"

She says I nodded and smiled and we went back to my house when we got there we talked made out just didn't everything we wanted to do with our last time together then we both fell asleep

The next morning I still woke up with an ache in my heart but I was glad to wake up next to y/n I whispered her name and tried to wake her up but she wasn't waking up then I shook her a little still nothing I then panicked and shook her and screamed her name and nothing I checked her pulse she was gone.

I held her in my arms and cried I cried so loud the neighbours probably heard me but I didn't care the love of my life was gone she was in my arms lifeless then my mom stormed in

"Honey?" She said I looked up at her with tears streaming down my face

"Mommy she's gone" I said my mom ran and grabbed her phone calling the ambulance

We got to the hospital and there was nothing they could do just like y/n said Finn, Wyatt, and Jack came to see me in the hospital the didn't say anything they just sat next to me and cried with me we all loved her

"S-s-she told me to tell you guys that she loves you a lot, she was going to leave this morning and when she did she wanted me to tell you about her cancer but it was too late" I said crying

"We all loved her too" Finn said crying as they all hugged me

"You ready Jaeden" my mom said

"Not at all" I say looking at a picture of me and y/n

"She really did love and care about you Jaeden" she said

"I really miss her mom" I say crying

"She'll always be with you right here" she said pointing to my heart I nod and we leave to go to her funeral

"Now I would like to bring Jaeden up to say a few last words" the pastor said

"Y/n was a loveable funny kind hearted person she always tried her best to to make others happy even if she wasn't happy herself she tried the hardest to make me happy because I was her boyfriend and we both had our share of mistakes but that's what made us human but I would like to thank y/n y/l/n for showing me what it's like to feel something to feel love she showed me how to care even when nobody else did so with that said I love you y/n and I'll never forget the love you had for me" I say I walked away and watched as they lowered her casket

And Finn Wyatt Jack and I all put our arms around each other knowing and accepting that she won't be there to support us anymore.

We all said together "bye y/n we'll never forget you".
