Red Nation: Chapter 19
~Nicole P.O.V.~
"You do realize that I literally just gave up living at home with my Dad to be with you right?" I said as we were in his car.
"Yeah and?"
"You better have made it worth it. If you do me wrong, I won't stop my family from killing you."
"Nicole, I'm not going to do a damn thing to you except love and cherish you like I should have in the beginning. My gang won't do shit to your Dad's gang, I'm not with you just to find out shit, I'm with you because I want to be with you. Have I ever used you to get information to my advantage?" He looked over at me as we stopped at the red light.
"No you haven't. I'm just warning you. Where are we even going anyways?"
"My house. Can we start over? Erase our past?"
"I'm willing to. Where exactly do you live anyways?" I noticed we were out of the general area that I'm used to. Where all my uncles and aunts lived.
"About 10 minutes away from the end of your Dad's block. Why?"
"Just asking." I said as I laid my head back.

"How do you feel about us again?" He asked when we pulled up to his house. For someone who just got back into Oakland not even a year ago, he sure bought himself a really nice house. Better than the house we had before.
"I feel neutral about it. I just know for a fact if I bring you to any family events, you already know my Uncle Varo has dibs on you." I don't plan on bringing him around for a long time till the fire dies down.
"Yeah I kinda figured." He tossed his keys on the counter before grabbing my hand and leading me to the couch. He fell back and pulled me right down with him. "Thank you." He said in between a series of kisses.
"Better prove to me that this decision wasn't something I'd end up regretting."
"You won't regret it. We gon' actually last till we're married and the whole death does us part." He said with a small chuckle.
"Yeah, we'll have to see about that one."

~A Few Days Later~I had my shit moved in and tonight was gon' be the first night that I actually stay in my house. I was too excited for this.
"Brie stayin' with you now?" Dad asked as he came down the stairs.
"Nope. Her ass ain't moving in for a while." Love her and all but I want some time to enjoy my house all to myself. No disrespect to her but I want Trey time.
"You realize she'll be in sooner than you expect right?" I rose an eyebrow. "It starts out with just leaving a sweatshirt, then bringing a change of clothes and leaving them there on accident too and next thing you know, your Trues are sharing a drawer with her Miss Me's."
"Not in my house. She left her clothes? I'll drop 'em back off at her house the following morning." I laughed. "You seen Breezy's house?" He shook his head. "Everything is black and blue right? You go upstairs and you're blinded by a hot pink bathroom next to a room with all animal print."
"Lolo huh?" I nodded. "That just has to drive Breezy crazy." The door swung open and in walked Uncle Chewy. "Sup lil' bruh." Dad said with a laugh as he dapped him.
"Shit, not a damn thing. What are y'all doing?"
"Chillin', aren't you in pain from Uncle Varo always beating on you?" I asked.
