Hunter let out a whistle to get everyone's attention.

"If we're going to make a plan then we should probably calm down a bit, put our heads together and write it down," he said.

Ken grabbed a sheet of paper from a side table and a pen.

"Our plan will be contingent on our battle formations, which as Ayana stated need to change. We'll need to figure those out first," he said.

Our original formations had been Ayana with Dziko and Ken with me. It made the most sense given what we had. The twins worked best together and were able to coordinate their action flawlessly with little verbal communication. That left Ken and I together.

But as I looked around the room and took note of everyone's powers, I wasn't so sure how we would match things up. Sakima was here, and then there was Timothy as well. I knew Salali wouldn't really be a part of the fighting so she'd probably end up either sticking close to Sakima, or even Hunter if he allowed it.

"Before we had the twins together and then Ken and me. I think the twins should probably stay together, but we need everyone's input. How should we rearrange things?" I asked.

"Ken can control air, Ayana plant life, Dziko earth, Sakima - fire and Daisy Lynn can control water and fire," Timothy mused.

"Maybe Daisy Lynn should team up with Sakima since they both can control fire. It would be twice the damage. Plus she can work on her powers with him," Dziko offered.

Ken scribbled it down on the sheet of paper.

"Who would Ken be with?" Ayana asked.

"Well...do we need need to keep teams of two? What if we did teams of three?" I asked.

Both Timothy and Sakima shook their head.

"Teams of two are ideal. We've been out there and being inconspicuous is important. I actually think that Daisy Lynn would be better off not being with Sakima. If she's with someone else then that team will have three elements," Timothy said.

I rose my eyebrows.

"That is a good point. Who do you suggest she be with the?" Ken said.

'If you two staying together would be the strongest pairing. Air naturally feeds fire. Mix water with that and you might even be able to control the weather," Timothy said.

I could instantly tell that Timothy was very intelligent. He was probably the smartest one here.

Ken nodded his head, looking impressed as he wrote our names down together.

"You all might not like my next suggestion, but I think the twins should split up. If we're looking for damage potential then we need to take into account that both Ayana and I control live beings and Dziko and Sakima control nonliving matter. Sakima, moreso than Dziko, could destroy any animal or plant Ayana or I call into play. But if he teams up with Dziko, then there's the same potential that the combination of their powers could create more than what they can do independently."

Dziko was scowling, but Ayana seemed open to it. I saw Ayana whisper in her sister's ear for a few moments and Dziko relaxed a bit.

"So I will be with the flamethrower and my sister would be with the animal whisperer," Dziko eventually said. She didn't look like she liked the idea, but she wasn't fighting it as much as I thought she would.

"Hunter and Salali most likely won't be in any main battles so Hunter is probably best to stay with her rather than you Sakima. With us out of the picture, he can keep her hidden if he only focuses on her," I said softly.
