***Kind long so you might want to skip and come back***
Another word from me. A big WHOOPS! in fact. So upon listening to book 3(downloaded a text-to-speech app) I realized I accidentally retconned some in this book. So I had to retcon my retcon lol. Can't be out here writing novels like I'm a manga/anime writer LOL.
Anyway, Winston died in book 3 cause Philomene killed him. So I rewrote the scene he was in and replaced him with Leona.
Other thing was that I had Ricky still under the control of the humans in this book (Delaney's bf/Jake's brother). He was in fact saved by Giovanna and is on her side now. So I had edit that part too when they came across Unknowns being controlled.
And just to be certain on some of the things going down so far(because obviously if I as the author can fuck up then readers might be confused):
Giovanna did not save all of the Unknowns when she freed Ricky. Just those that were in the area/nearby. Unknowns were being controlled in other places.
Augustus destabilized the fed gov, but humans were still fighting back on a smaller scale. Celeste fought those battles on a smaller scale and managed to secure a large area and crippled the humans. All they have left is to destroy building/control tower where they have all the tech to control Unknowns. Augustus is still currently in the US, helping people and healing the injured and most importantly gaining allies (because he's a healer and who hates a healer? nobody. that's who. everyone wants the healer on their side *hinthinthint*)
Daisy Lynn and her crew came in a wrecked shit on the same level that Jason and the Court did when they came after the US gov. Just really wanted to emphasize their destructive and how much her powers had grown from the first book. Also wanted to show that the war was on a global scale.
I think maybe one or two chapters after this and then onto Celeste. Daisy Lynn will still be very much present in Celeste's book, at least with what I have planned. Def gonna do some deep editing when this is all said and done for sure. Anyway. Back to the book.
Daisy Lynn POV
We followed Celeste out of the camp. She told us some more about the situation as we walked.
"We've done a pretty good job of pretty much clearing the humans out of here. Wasn't our original intention, but with the way the war has been going it's the direction things went. The only real threat left in the area are the Unknowns that the humans did experiments on. We don't know how to remove those devices without doing damage, but thanks to Jason we were able to pinpoint the control tower. That guy has some insane powers. I'm grateful he's on our side," she said.
"How was Jason able to figure it out?" Ken asked.
"You guys know over the past several months- well a year probably at this point actually - we've been infiltrating and destroying human establishments. Only, some of those establishments were heavily guarded by these types of Unknowns. Nobody wants to kill the people you're fighting for, but our backs were against the wall. I'd heard stories about Giovanna stepping in and freeing them and those people ended up on her side, but that's a whole nother problem. Anyway, once Jason appeared, we had a power shift. So we concocted a plan to at least find out more about them. We managed to capture one of them and bring him back here. We tried interrogating him, but nothing was working because they were mind controlled. Not one peep out of him. Then Jason used his telepathy and started pulling memories from him and we got some answers. But not without a heavy price," she told us.
