I spent the next few nights going back and forth from Green-Wood to get some stuff from my crypt for at the apartment, and eventually had a nice room, I stepped back and admired my work, and heard a 'click' from behind me, I turned to find Brit holding the Instax Camera she had bought for me at the mall, the picture printed and she handed it and the camera to me, "picture perfect!"

We laughed a bit, and I hung some strings of lights to hang the photos on. Brit brought in some clothespins to fasten the photos to the strings. We hung the first photo and I grabbed Brit's spare backpack to carry the camera and some other basics with me. We went out and wandered the town, and again that feeling hit me, I belonged here, in Death City. We made our way to Gallows Manor, Kid's place, to attend a party Lord Death was holding to celebrate the defeat of the kishin. Brit wore a pale pink dress that fit her curves perfectly and fell to about her mid thigh, I wore one of her spare dresses, black and sparkly, no straps, that fell to my calf in lacy frills, it almost fit me perfectly, Brit claimed it looked good on me, even if I was still nervous as hell, and even said I could keep it.

We arrived af Gallows Manor and were greeted at the door by Maka and Soul, "Hey guys! How's it going?" Maka approached happily, Soul close behind.

"Pretty good, you're here for the party?" I smiled lightly, she nodded.

"Maka, we should get inside, the party's starting without us." Soul gestured to the door, where we could hear the music stop and Lord Death begin speaking.

"Crap!" Maka jogged up to the stairs and into the manor with Soul. Brit and I followed close behind, not wanting to miss anything.

After Kid and BlackStar stopped their squabbling, the party was pretty nice, the music was great, the food was delicious, and I even got a dance with Kid!!! Why am I excited about that? Nevermind. Later. I blushed lightly at the thought that popped into my head, Brit noticed, and smirked into her glass of punch. "Whatcha thinkin' bout?" I snapped back to reality and realized I was staring at Kid, who was across the room talking with some guests.

"Wh-what?! Nothing!" I blushed deeply, taking a sip of my punch as Brit giggled.

"You're TOTALLY crushing on the young Reaper, aren'tcha?" She nudged me, I nearly spit out my drink.

"NO!!!" oh god, that got us some stares, I hid my blush behind my light blue backpack, Kid approached, looking lightly concerned.

"Is everything alright over here?" He gestured to me, looking over at Brit.

"Yup, perfectly fine, sir." She jokingly saluted, I rolled my eyes at her, Kid shrugged and walked away.

"Even if I was crushing on Kid, I'd have no chance, my secret'd get out almost instantly, you know that!" I muttered at her angrily.

"So you DO like him, it'll be fine, if all goes well you'll be perfectly fine. You don't need to worry!" She nudged me, I thought for a minute, she was right, I did have a little crush on the young reaper, the way his golden eyes shimmered in the sunlight, the way his hair fell so smoothly across his forehead, the white stripes on the left side of his hair, I'll admit, were kind of cute, as much as he apparently hated them. Even so, like I said, I have no chance with him. Even if my secret got out and he was fine with it, he was too good for me.

Brit and I left the party, and I was still deep in thought, when we got home I went straight to the lights to hang the pictures we took, as I was sifting through the pictures, which were mostly selfies with me, Maka, Soul, Brit, and the others, I found one that made me smile, and I'll admit, I blushed a little. The picture was of me and Kid when we had our one dance together, we were both smiling lightly, gazing into eachother's eyes, how did this picture get here?
