In the morning I woke to the sun shining through the window, I heard a light 'clang' from the kitchen, Kid was already awake. My wound didn't hurt anymore, so I stood, examining it, finding that it had scabbed over, it would heal soon enough, and I could be back in class tomorrow. I threw on a light mauve tee-shirt and a pair of jean shorts and headed downstairs, stretching. I went into the kitchen to find Kid cooking pancakes at the stove. I strolled over, putting my arms around his waist and my head on his shoulder. "Morning!" I said cheerfully, he smiled and flipped a pancake carefully.

"Morning, Darling." I chuckled and strolled over to the fridge, pulling a container of raspberries from the second shelf. Grabbing a couple of plates from the cupboard.

"The girls already at school?" I asked, searching the fridge for whipped cream.

"Yep, we've got the house to ourselves until 4 or 5, knowing them." He put two pancakes on one of the plates and I swirled some whipped cream on top, perfect. Doing the same for the other plate, I added some raspberries and we went to sit at the table. I took a bite of my pancakes and sighed, smiling lightly. "So I was thinking we could go to a movie around 2, maybe get some dinner on the way home, if you're up for it."

"Are you trying to ask me on a date?" I looked over at him, his cheeks were dusted pink, I giggled. Odd, I had never done that before. "Yeah, I'd love to, hun." He smiled as I kissed his cheek. We finished out breakfast and I went upstairs to change into something more...presentable, as the frayed bottom of my shorts made me assymetrical, and that would drive Kid crazy the whole date. I put on the dress Brit had given to me for Kid's party when I first arrived, and pulled on some black flats to go with it. I despised heels. Brushing my hair out, I put a small braid in each side, using small black ribbons to tie them. Dusting on some dark grey eyeshadow and being careful to make my eyeliner symmetrical. I inspected myself in the mirror, smiling lightly. I stepped from my bedroom and down the stairs, it was noon now, and there were two plates of caesar salsd on the table for lunch, Kid was in the kitchen making apple juice to go with it, humming a tune I didn't recognize. I notices he hung his suit jacket on his chair, I smirked, picking it up and putting it on over my dress, I had just gotten it fastened as he came out of the kitchen.

"What are you doing?" He asked, chuckling.

"I'm stealing your jacket, it's mine now." I giggled as I sat down in my seat, taking a bite of my caesar salad. Kid set a glass of apple juice on the table to my right and kissed my cheek.

"You can keep the jacket, it looks cute on you." He patted my head and strolled over to his seat. I blushed lightly, taking a sip of my apple juice. We finished our food and he went to get a different jacket, 'cuz, ya know. We headed out for the movie and as usual nothing good was playing. So we ended up watching some cheesy romance movie and jokingly quoting it later. We got home promptly at 8 to fing Brit, Patty, and Liz were all waiting for us.

Brit squealed, I plugged my ears, because she was right frickin next to me. "YOU'RE FINALLY A THING!!!" she screamed, hugging me, Liz patted Brit's back, getting her to calm down, she loosened up a little. Good, I couldn't breathe.

"Why would you think that?" I asked, turning to Brit, arms crossed.

"Are we not?" Kid put an arm around my shoulder, I blushed lightly, kissing his cheek.

"Now you know I wasn't saying that." I said back sassily. Brit squealed again, and Patty giggled.

"Kid's in loooooove" Patty said teasingly, it was Kid's turn to blush this time. He smirked though, looking over at me.

"You wanna get out of here?" He raised an eyebrow, Brit and Liz snickered, muttering something about us, I didn't want to know what they were thinking. Patty giggled and went to join the conversation.

I rolled my eyes, "gladly." And with that, I yelped as Kid picked me up bridal-style and carried me out the front door, I turned to a dove and perched on his shoulder, he summoned Beelzebub, and I flew alongside him into the park, where he led me through a group of trees, I landed on a branch above him and transformed back, folding one leg over the other so as to not show my underwear. He climbed up to join me and for a couple of hours we just sat. Stargazing. He pointed out a few constellations he knew and I made up a few of my own, like me and my father used to do. He dozed off with his arms around my waist, head resting against the trunk of the tree. I dozed off eventually too. I was glad we were together. For the first time in forever, I felt peace, knowing that someone would always be there for me.
