The next morning Maka woke me around 5 a.m. and made me breakfast, she lent me a set of clothes that she didn't wear anymore, and Blair threw in a bit too, as her size of top better fit me, I didn't get along with Blair, but she could be nice at times. I buttoned the top button of the short-sleeved collared crop-top Blair had given me and threw on a grey blazer over top to hide my belly, I would have to find a better shirt to go with this later, I slipped on the dark grey skirt Maka gave me and put on the knee-high socks and black dress shoes, I looked myself over in the mirror and smiled, I'd be able to look around the shops tonight, hopefully, and could find something better, and maybe a tie to top it all off, but for now this would work, I combed out my hair and strolled out to the living room to sit with the others.

I arrived at the academy at 6:30 and headed to the Death Room, hoping that Lord Death would be there. Why did this feel...right? I mean I was a witch hidkng amongst meisters and weapons and even reapers, but I felt...like I belonged somehow. I smiled as I entered the Death room to find the comical Grim Reaper in front of the mirror again. "Hey, Seikatsu! I have your timetables, but I forgot to ask baout your weapon, do you have one? Or do you need help finding one?" He tilted his head, I was getting used to his new voice, and honestly, I kind of liked it, at least he didn't seem too threatening anymore, which probably went well enough with the younger students.

"I need help finding one, if it isn't too much trouble." I said as he handed me a piece of paper, I examined it, Crescent Moon, I knew where that was, and if I'm not mistaken, that was Maka's class, I sighed with relief, at least I knew someone in my class.

"Okie dokie! I'll have your new weapon find you at lunch, is that alright with you?" I nodded, now I just had to somehow avoid any fights until lunch hour, if I could do that, I might be able to keep my true identity hidden.

I made my way to my first class to meet my teacher, and upon entering, a scalpel lodged in the wall next to me, causing me to yelp, I turned toward the source, only to find a grey-haired man with stitches across his face and a screw through his head staring at me with misty green eyes, the light reflecting off of his glasses menacingly. "P-professor Stein, I presume?" I felt my blood run cold, this was the meister who was sent after me who sent me into hiding, he adjusted his glasses and leaned back in his chair.

"Yes, sorry about that, you startled me, you're the new girl, right?...What are you doing at school so early?" I sighed in relief, he didn't recognize me.

"I came to speak with Lord Death, and get my timetable. I don't have a weapon at the moment, but according to Lord Death someone will meet me at lunch." I answer, yanking the scalpel out of the wall and bringing it to him. He took it and examined the blade carefully.

"Is that so?...Then today's class will be interesting for you, we were going to be dueling. Will you be alright without a weapon? I don't want to push you too hard on your first day." At least he was half considerate...

"O-oh...I guess it depends on the opponent..." I murmured. Crap. A fight on my first day?! I'd be found out for sure...

"Hm, have you met BlackStar yet? I have you paired against him. I'd be surprised if he hasn't confronted you to battle you 'to the death' yet." Oh god, a cocky little bastard, eh? I could probably deal with him, but I didn't know his strength...

We talked for a bit longer before class started, I took a seat near the back, and watched the first couple of duels mindlessly before my name was called.

"Seikatsu, BlackStar, could you come to the fr-"

"A new kid huh? HA! NO MATCH FOR THE MIGHTY BLACKSTAR!" a blue haired boy boasted, god this kid was annoying, maybe I could...

"Whatever you say, Blue." I rolled my eyes as I stood, frowning the whole way to the front of the class.

"How DARE you insult me, DO YOU KNOW WHO YOU'RE TALKING TO?!" he leapt to the front of class, glaring at me.

"BlackStar, since Seikatsu doesn't have a weapon, I want you to fight without Tsubaki, alright?" Stein said bluntly, though underneath I could tell he was just as annoyed as I was.

"AS IF I NEED TSUBAKI TO BEAT A WEAKLING LIKE HER! HA! CHILDSPLAY!" He crossed his arms and laughed dramatically. I groaned exhasperatedly.

"Can we just get this over with?" He turned to me, obviously steaming mad, my plan was working. He charged, and stopped right in front of me, winding up a punch, he was going to use his soul wavelength. I leapt above his strike at the last second and landed one foot on top of the fist he had used to try and hit me. I pushed off, nudging him forward enough for my attack, I flipped in the air and brought my foot down on the back of his head, focusing my soul wavelength into the impact, I sent his face into the floor, then landed on my feet. When I turned to see the damage, he was already back up, he landed an elbow to my gut, knocking the wind out of me. I brought my elbow down on his head, I had to knock him out before he could use his soul wavelength again, I thrusted my knee into his ribs, he grunted in pain and I backed away, preparing myself for his next attack, regaining my breath. I didn't realize it at first, but Kid was in the class watching, he stared at me, analyzing every move I made, I glared at him. Stop that. I thought, Blackstar approached quickly and swung his left leg up to kick my side, I blocked it with a forearm and mirrored his movements, landing a solid hit in his ribs, I heard a loud pop as I hit him, he yelled out in pain and grasped his side, falling down, I stood there, wide-eyed. Did I just break one of his ribs? A girl with black hair tied back in a long ponytail called out worriedly, "BlackStar!" Stein stopped the fight immediately and BlackStar was taken to the infirmary to be treated. I sat back in my seat, thinking. That was too easy...how the hell did I break one of his ribs...hopefully it was a fluke. I sat like that for most of class, Kid passed a few glances my way, his eyebrows furrowed in thought, was he still analyzing my fight with BlackStar as I was?

No matter.

I had to meet my weapon.

Lunch hour rolled around and I sat down on the steps to the school waiting for my new weapon. A few minutes passed when out of the crowd a girl called, "Hey!" She sat next to me, her dark hair tied back in a messy ponytail, a bright pink crop-top and jean short-shorts covered little of her body and a few piercings graced her eyebrows, ears, and lower lip. In personality she sort of reminded me of Blair. Oh god. "You're Seikatsu, right? I've been looking everywhere for you! I'm Britanny, my friends call me Brit." She introduced herself, smiling the whole time.

"You're right, I am Seikatsu, you're my new weapon, then, yeah?" I raised an eyebrow, she nodded cheerfully. "What kind?"

"Straight to the point, huh? I'm a couple of weapons, actually, a sniper rifle, a spear, a sword, and a combat knife. I heard you're pretty powerful, I saw you fight BlackStar in Professor Stein's class, what the hell was that?" She seemed pretty talkative.

"Me fighting without a weapon, what else would it be?" I didn't mean to sound rude, but it seemed like she took it that way anyway.

"Aw, that's no way to talk, we should get to know eachother if we're gonna be partners, right? How about we meet after school, shopping mall? My treat!" I raised my gaze to her deep brown eyes, filled with light, maybe she could keep my secret? I'd have to resonate with her eventually, so I couldn't hide from her forever. I nodded, smiling lightly, the bell rang and we were sent back to class.
