Y/n Pov,

 "Are you kidding me? I despise the Mages college none the less mages as well. If I could I would set fire that that damned college." I practically scream at my friend Areaen as I am rushing out my home.

"Ah ya sure, and I don't bed a Khajiit named Ak'aksa," Areaen smirks as she watches me begin to storm out my house and she just follows.

I begin to get extremely red from embarrassment even though it is just the two us in the woods. Areaen takes out her bow and begins to snicker as she begins to hunt and head on home. I just roll my eyes and try not to show that I actually love mages. Areaen comes back after an hour with a few torches.

"You said if you could you'd set that ole mages college down. So, let's go and burn it down. I gotta see Ra'sha anyways. Unless you want to admit that you actually care about the college." Areaen says as she is handing me a torch.

"Uhh Isn't it a bit late to be causing so much chaos?"

"Well duh but we want to get to the college in a matter of time, don't you?" She keeps persisting.

"Fine... I actually care about the college..." I was defeated, and I was caught in my bluff.

A few weeks later,

"Areaen! What are you doing?"

"Last I checked I don't live at your house little miss Y/n."

"Oh ya... You just come over so much I forgot. Wait... then why are you up so late then?"

"Midnight stroll Y/n, it's just a midnight stroll."

"Then why is there a dude behind you with a spell to help light the way behind you then." I scoff as I try to catch Areaen's bluff

"Fine... This is Marcurio he's my... Ah yes, cousin... My mom's brother married an Imperial that already has a son..." She explains as I was not believing a single word.

"Smells fishy..." I acknowledge and cross my arms while I narrow my eyes at Areaen.

"No, actually that's just my last catch from the river. Also, can we ah, no can he spend the night here?" She asks as she shows Marcurio more.

"Um sure." I knew that Areaen was lying. When she said that he was her cousin.

"Good, ok Marcurio this is Y/n... You'll be spending the night here for a few nights. Will you be ok?" Areaen questions before she walks away.

"Uhh... Ya, I'll be fine uh cousin." Marcurio notes as Areaen leaves and I lead him into my home.

I show him around my home before I show him to his room. I ask questions and he answers then they'd switch to where he asks questions and I answer. We seemed to have talked the night away because while we were talking we see the sun begin to rise through the windows of my house. I shyly walk away because I didn't mean to talk all night, but I guessed that it was alright since Areaen had come here at about three in the morning.

"I am so sorry Marcurio... I didn't mean to keep you up all night." I stress out as he just playfully smiles at me overreacting.

"Nah it's ok, when I had worked for Ahzira she would go days on end without sleep. That darn Khajiit, she was quite the character like my cousin Areaen." Marcurio chuckles as he begins to walk downstairs and goes into my kitchen.

"Wait so Areaen is your cousin?" I question as yet again Marcurio snickers.

"I mean ya, of course. Even though we are only cousins by my mom's marriage we are still cousins. Just because she's Elf doesn't mean we can't be family." He just snickers as he makes breakfast.

"Ya know Y/n, I actually like ya, you're different than all my other hirers or even basically babysitters. Hehe wow, what did Areaen get me into." Marcurio marvels and his voice fades before he's done speaking.

"Excuse me what?" The questioning tone erupts as if it was a voice crack.

"Ah nothing I was just talkin to myself. Don't worry about it," He calmly persists.

I couldn't help but awe at what he made for our breakfast. A slight blush began to present itself, but I quickly fix that. He just chuckles when he noticed my blush that I thought had disappeared, but it just became more noticeable. I begin to eat my exquisite breakfast and it was very flavorful. Once we were done eating I began to clean up our breakfast. He stops me, and he thanked me for letting him stay for a little while Areaen did her stuff.

Later that night,

I stand outside just listening to nature sounds as Marcurio uses his magic to cast familiars. I walk over to Marcurio and grab one of his hands and place my other hand on his shoulder and we sway to the music of nature. We danced like nobodies watching and literally no one was watching. I look into Marcurio's eyes and I see a whole lot of joy in them. At that moment everything seemed to have been at a standstill. All that was in motion was the swaying of him and me. He leans down and softly places a short but sweet kiss on my lips. I began to madly blush, and I kiss him back but with more passion and energy. He smirked into the kiss and off in a distance I could hear swaying of branches in the wind. We pull away breathless, but I take a quick breath and roughly kiss him with a lot of passion.

"Ya, you hate mages my ass." Areaen was far off in the distance watching her ship come into place.

Marcurio holds up a thumbs up when he realizes that Areaen was watching.
