I choked on my water, spit it all over Cameron, and began having a coughing fit, "Dude! What was that for?" Cameron exclaimed, his shirt now darker in certain spots from my water. He was trying to look mad but he was really just trying not to laugh.

I was still choking on my water so I couldn't answer. But I finally composed myself and glared at the boy. He took a step back but didn't wipe the smirk off his face.

I stood up, grabbed him by the wrist and yanked him out of the cafeteria, closing the door behind me, "What are you doing here?" I demanded.

He smiled and leaned against the wall as he crossed his arms over his chest, "You know, Lexi, new people come to new school all the time." He said to me as if I were six.

"I understand that. But why are you here?" I asked him.

He just shrugged, "This is a very nice school. One of the best in the state. My family does their research." He said.

"What grade are you in?" I asked him, hoping, praying really, that he was older than me.

"Ninth grade." He said.

I was taken back by his answer. He looked older than me. But whatever. I just knew that I wasn't happy.

"What a surprise, your in my grade." I muttered with mock happiness.

"Haha. So am I allowed to sit at your table or not? You should decide soon because I think your friends are starting to stare." He said as if we had never met before. As if he hadn't known my name the first time we met. As if he hadn't acted like a stalker.

I rolled my eyes and started to walk back into the cafeteria, my arms still crossed. But I stopped dead in my tracks, remembering something fairly important, only to be rammed into from behind by him.

"Jeez! Really?" I exclaimed, turning to glare at him.

"Well you're the one who stopped dead! What did you expect me to do?" He exclaimed

"Why were you walking a foot behind me? That's weird!" I shot back at him.

"I was folllowing you into the cafeteria! You know that place, where the entire grade is eating lunch right now?" He said.

I was really annoyed at the moment so I decided to catch him off guard, "What's your name, pretty boy?" I asked him.

He just stared at me, "Did you just call pretty boy?" He asked, a smirk appearing on his face.

"What's your name? Or am I going to have to call you pretty boy forever now?" I asked him.

"Jonathan, or John for short. But I don't know, I kind of like pretty boy." He said. I began to think that the smirk was painted onto his face.

"It wasn't a compliment." I said shaking my head and walking back into the cafeteria.

I sat back down at the table, only to have everyone sitting there stare at me, "What?" I exclaimed after a couple of seconds of staring back at them.

"He's standing right behind you." Jacob whispered into my ear. I turned around to look behind me and sure enough, there was John, just standing there, looking very awkward.

"You can sit down with us you know." I said and everyone at the table nodded and made room for him.

John sat own on the other side of Cameron and we all did the normal introductions. We talked for the remaining ten minutes of lunch. And what do you know? John had the same schedule as me. Which left Jacob and I to show him around.

At the end of the day I visited the orphanage with Jacob. Alisha cried when when I arrived, Olivia cried when I left, and I cried when I was gone.
